When came to me it was shattered in pieces and even then all the shattered pieces weren't all there.

in frustration I googled What is the BEST pizza stone
I have gone through at least 6 pizza stones and when it was time to get ANOTHER one...in frustration I googledWhat is the BEST pizza stone? Answer: Coolaispo 15 inch Black Ceramic Pizza Stone. Well that sounded promisingI bought this a few years ago and absolutely love it! $49.00 was steep but without tax or shipping Amazon's offer was too good to pass up.This pizza (bread) stone is fantastic. It's beautiful and unlike other stones that doesn't stain and can be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher without having the stone "bleed" a soap taste into whatever you bake next and the gorgeous ceramic finish doesn't stain and is perfect for serving. You can use it on all types of stove tops: gas, electric, halogen as well as induction stove tops AND alltypes of ovens: traditional, convection and microwave safe. You can even use it on gas, charcoal and wood grills! It keeps hot longer, has great even heat distribution and can be heated to extremely high temperatures (up to700F degree for searing). The glaze is micro-crazed just like a pizza oven so crusts come out crispy and well baked. It will turn your grill into an outdoor pizza oven...FABULOUS! It is much less liable to crack into twopieces after you've used it a dozen times like cheaper stones...and no bulky metal cradles or juggling clumsy stones this super ceramic stone has built-in ceramic handles! Perfect for serving, pizza, bread, you can cut on the surface without worrying about scratching it and finally heat it and use it as a warmed serving tray.On the day I received it I made a white pizza of Gorgonzola cheese, pears, crispy walnuts and turkey for a fewfriends. The crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom (my former stones wouldn't have been able to handle keeping the crust as crisp with this recipe). I cut and served the pizza on the same stone right from the oven...delicious and it stayed hot for second servings. So perfect it blew us all away and my guests jumped up to log on to Amazon to order the Coolaispo 15 inch Black Ceramic Pizza Stone before leaving both for themselves and as gifts.

Loving this Pizza stone
I have been using Pizza/cooking stones for a long time.....but have never had one with a ceramic glaze on the top of it. Only time will tell how the black ceramic coating will hold up.... but I just fixed a frozen pizza on the stone and used a pizza cutter for cutting the slices... and there were no scratches on it. The reverse side of the stone is the standard stone you usually find on a pizza stone.I noticed from other reviews that a lot of people had a issue with the product arriving broken or cracked...but I can only review on my own experience with the pizza stone and mine arrived intact with no breaks or cracks so I fortunately no issues.. but I did notice that it was shipped in box inside a box that had packing around it.. but the box it was actually in had no support or packing. The stone is very heavy.. so if you have trouble lifting things, a pizza stone may not work well for you. You do have to grasp the stone with both hands.. mitts or gloves should be used as it gets very hot. I eat pizza a couple times a week and I almost always use a pizza stone. One thing that is very important is to always preheat your oven with the pizza stone in it so that it is quite warm/hot when you place the pizza on it. I have made pizzas on other pizza stones without preheating the stone.. but not with this one yet. Even with preheating the oven, it did take a little bit longer than I expected.. but I also had built the pizza up with several extra layers of cheeses and pepperoni and olives and had a anxious grandson open the oven door once while the pizza was baking so I am sure that contributed to the longer baking time.I like my pizza to have a crisp crust and so I tend to leave mine in for a bit longer than most people.. but the pizza came out great.. the crust was perfect... a bit of crisp but yet still chewy.. the top overbaked just a bit, but that is not the fault of the stone.. it is just the way I like my pizza's.Clean up was super easy.. the pizza slices just slid off the stone.. and clean up was just with a dampened paper towel .A small pizza wheel is included with the pizza pan and it works just fine.. but I prefer my long wooden handle pizza cutter like they have in a pizza shop. I like pizza stones.. and I like this one very much and know I will be using it lot, because I love my pizzas.I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase this stone at a reduced rate, to test and evaluate thru my own personal use and then to write a review on my experiences with the stone.I hope this review was helpful to you.. I have enclosed a few photos of the stone.

Homemade pizzas
I've been wanting to make my own pizzas at home and experiment with different crusts and toppings. The key to a good pizza is to have a great crust. It should have a crispness on the outside with a little bit of chew to it. Pizza stones help in this regard. You need to heat the stone in your oven before cooking. The ceramic material holds heat and helps o cook the pizza evenly, assuming you didn't make the crust too thick. The instant heat from the stone should aid in puffing up the crust.. It has a 15” diameter can make a medium size pizza. I even got a pizza peel like in the restaurants to make it easier in sliding the pizza on and off the stone. This pizza stone has a smooth glaze finish that prevents stains and makes it easier to clean. I like that it is odorless and will not transfer any strange smell or taste to my food. I wish it was a little thicker like other expensive stones but the thinness is the reason it heats up faster. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Pizza didn't stick and cutter works better than the one I purchased from a take and bake franchise
