The A5 size (5.5" x 8.3") is ideal—compact enough to carry around, yet spacious enough for writing comfortably. The 160 pages of 100gsm paper are thick and smooth, preventing any ink bleed-through, which is great for my gel pens. The twin-wire spiral binding allows the notebook to lay flat or fold back easily, making writing on the go a breeze. The sturdy hardcover protects the pages and withstands daily wear and tear. My SKILCRAFT B3 Aviator Multi-function Pen fits nicely and is on hand for times when I don't feel like using a fountain pen. The pages are almost entirely just blank lines. There are a few things at the top for me to fill in, like a place to mark the weather, day of the week, memo/page number, and date. It's that final thing where I have my highly trivial complaint. The space to write the date has three slashes; I am still trying to figure out what the third one is for. There were also a couple of laughable typos on the packaging. That aside, these books have superb paper and are a great value.

These are great notebooks! The paper is a creamy white and very easy on my eyes. The spiral binding allows me to fold the pages back, so the book takes up very little room on my desktop. The best part is that fountain pen ink doesn't soak through the page. The "backside" is always pristine and usable. The pages don't have perforations, and the spiral rings are paired with two going through each hole. The result is that the pages will stay attached rather than falling out.
