Works well, aside from missing needed parts...
I've got an S200HQL as a little secondary monitor, and this mount works well for it. It's mostly stable, it will swivel a little bit, and the stabilizer bar does help it not wobble around as much. Due to the odd back shape of the monitor, it doesn't sit flush, but there's plenty of room to move the bar around and get a pretty stable push on it. Now for the reason I removed 2 stars... mine did NOT come with the included spacers that it was supposed to. Mounting the S200HQL is not possible (well, at least not safely) without the spacers. The screw went in very loosely and may not have held it at all. Luckily, I was able to find a couple of washers that worked well enough. If I didn't have any, I would have had to have waited for the seller/manufacturer to [hopefully] send me some, or I would have had to go purchase some. This would have been a 5-star review (4-star if I didn't get the parts, but did not need them) had the spacers been included that were supposed to be. Bravo to the manufacturer for making an adapter to make a monitor do something it was not originally designed to do. It saved me from having to buy a different secondary monitor. EDIT 4/3/18: I decided to restore this to a 5-star review due to the stellar customer service I received and compensation for the missing spacers. I have no doubt they would have quickly taken care of me should I have needed the spacers sent to me. But a word of advice, make sure you have the spacers you'll need before you start mounting everything. :)

Great Acer mounting bracket
I bought a 24 inch Acer that I got from Goodwill and I noticed it didn't have the back mounting plate so little Amazon looking up and this is what I found for my monitor and it works perfectly the bracket and everything and I would not recommend picking it up by the mount just pick up the monitor instead cuz that's how people are breaking the mount in the reviews highly recommend it

A workable solution to an otherwise unsolvable issue, nowhere close as stable as an actual VESA mount.
This is the best option I found for a G277HL Acer monitor (27") after trying 3 products. I removed the metal bracket from the Acer monitor stand and added a custom spacer so it would fit without being visible from the front. The provided instructions will leave you with a very visible stand "stem." The provided "stabilizer arm" only pushed on the monitor, it doesn't add another connection point, it helps for screen shake when you bump your desk but offers no additional support when moving your monitors around, you'll need to grab the adapter itself when doing serious re-arrangement. If you already have your monitors without VESA attachments this is probably your best bet, the lesson to learn is don't buy monitors without VESA mounts.

All around bad
When pulling this out of the package, the mount actually feels like quality metal. Sadly, that is where the good ends. The cons... 1. Lacking necessary pieces- I have a S220HQlL, which is a monitor guaranteed to work with this mount. attempting to mount the display as specified it is immediately apparent that the screw required to attack the stem of the monitor is not in the bag. This would require you to go to a hardware store and figure out what screw works. If that were the only problem, then i would have just done that. 2. Only use with like monitors- I bought this mount so that I could put this in my 4 monitor array (2x2). My new monitor (S220HQL) was bought to go alongside 3 of its predecessors (S211HL), which had VESA mounts built into the monitors (why did you stop that Acer). If I were able to mount this without using the monitor stem to get rid of that added height, the screen would still still a couple inches higher than the monitor next to it. You include the stem....forget about it. 3. The mounts only make sense with multiple monitors that are side by side (and the same model). If you are trying to do a 2x2 or anything that involves another row, the space between would be bezel plus the stem height. The whole point of having a VESA mount it to cleanly line up displays and most efficiently use your viewing space. this mount misses so far on that objective that it's laughable. 4. Bad hardware included. Even if you have fall within all of the contingencies that I specified for the the negatives, the screws and washers that are included are not sized properly. By that, I mean that the head of the screw and a literal hair bigger that the pass-through of the washer. If I placed a screw through a washer it would be supported. However, if tapped slightly to put the screw at an angle in comparison to the washer, the screw falls through. i would not trust that combination to mount my monitor. If you made it this far in the process and still want the mount, you will have to go to the hardware store to by washers that are a proper fit. In conclusion. I am better off taking my stand of the manufacturer provided pedestal and allowing it to rest on my office desk while leaning against the VESA mount that it was supposed to be mounted to. having an unsecured monitor sitting on my desk is better than using this mount. I hope this helps.

Works well enough
This allowed me to not buy a new monitor, so it's good :-). But don't expect this setup to be as stable as if you were screwing the arm directly into your monitor, it's all done with one single screw and one kind of friction arm. It was good for me because I was able to find a good position and basically leave it there most of the time. And because I could keep it high enough to compensate for the slight downward angle I was unable to completely eliminate. But don't expect a lot of movement to be possible without adjustmens, an annoying amount of adjustments, there is no real lateral stability. I used it with a North Bayou arm and a Dell 27" monitor.

I'm glad I waited, Version 4 is amazing!
I was hesitant at first due to the price of these adapters, but they are worth every single penny. No regrets what so ever. I purchased three of the V4 models; one in a one back the other in a two pack. The packing job was pretty funny, they individually boxed in a 'L' shaped boxes. The two pack came with two 'L' shaped boxes stacked into each other like Tetris blocks to make a rectangle and then placed inside of another tight fitting rectangular box. As far as quality goes, these things look top notch. I don't think I'm gonna have to worry about the paint coming off, they are very evenly coated, and their logo is painted in a nice contrasting bronze. It appears to be made up of one entire sheet of thick metal folded and then welded at two points. I don't thing it'll be bending anytime soon. The V4 has threaded holes so you don't need any washers and nuts, but they still did a very nice gesture and included 4 screws in case you are missing any of the screws that came with your VESA mount. They even include 5 washers that they claim are for using as spacers for certain monitor bolts. I didn't end up needed them for that, so I used them to add even more stability to the mounting holes. These adapters are a perfect match for the hardware that I am using, which I will link below. They are an extremely sturdy combination. Right now if I slam on my desk and even shake it, the monitors will not shake. I was hesitant at first due to the price of these adapters, but they are worth every single penny. Amazing Monitor Mounting Adapter!
Considering this is an adapter that allows you to do something that was not originally intended for the original product (monitor) to do, this adapter is amazing! Perfect? No. However, for the price and what it allows, A+. The seller sent me the following helpful installation tips in an e-mail before my adapter even arrived and I thought I'd share them because they remedy some of the issues I've seen others post about in their reviews and helped clarify how to properly install the adapter: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --The five washers are included to use as "spacers" to make sure the screw in the bottom of the monitor base can securely tighten the monitor to the bracket. If the monitor isn't tight against the bracket, you need to add more washers. Most models don't need them, but we include them just in case! --Some people have very large DVI or HDMI cables that don't fit between the monitor and the bracket. If you run into this problem, you may need a right-angle adapter. Search Amazon for "Right angle HDMI" (or whichever cable type you need) if you have this problem (but its very rare). --If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation was pretty quick and easy. I didn't have to purchase anything else at a hardware store or on Amazon. Using only what was supplied with this adapter was sufficient to get the job done. I've included 3 photos from different angles to help demonstrate how my Acer S220HQL, its connection cables, neck that came with the monitor and would normally be attached to its base, and this Vesa adapter work together and allow me to use a monitor mount (this is the one I'm using in the photos: VIVO Single LCD Monitor Desktop Mount Stand / Black Height Adjustable Deluxe Gas Spring Arm for 1 Screen up to 27" (STAND-V001B) ).

Fits the XG270HU
This product certainly fills in the gap where Acer failed us: adding VESA compatibility. For this reason alone I must applaud its engineering and quality. You can also swap out bolts to any size/design you want, e.g. non-threaded bolt with ping/cotter. (Comes with plenty of washers, which was convenient.) The one quarrel I have is that it isn't "deep" enough, meaning that it doesn't reach the center of my monitor. Because of this, my two XG270HUs stand a few inches higher than my LG 27UD68. From this I assume that the adapter is probably more suited for 24" monitors which aren't as tall. I don't think it would be fair to penalize one star for this since it attempts to be a "one-size-fits-all." After all, it's Acer who didn't add VESA compatibility! If anyone is interested, I can add photos of how I mounted my montiors to this. I disassembled the XG stand, removing the "neck" to cut down the height. Since the bolt for that has a small head that slips right through the hole of this adapter (and included washers), I instead used a bolt from the EZM Deluxe Triple Monitor Stand I bought. The bolt was originally for use with spacers when you have a monitor with a curved back. This required that I use every washer included with this adapter. Overall I'm satisfied with this adapter. They did a good job with it; it's very simple to use.

Solid metal
Its a nice solid piece that did what I needed it to. It made the monitor attach to the arm. It wobbles a little when I smack the monitor, but the mount is very secure.

stronger but crap
Do not buy seriously. This product out of the box is strong but once you hook up to the monitor and then the monitor mount the hole where the stand sits will loosen and twist all over the place. I recommend monitor 3kg and under. Pretty garbage design as a single screw isn’t enough to withstand all the weight. I hate companies when they don’t include a vesa Mount, absolutely embarrassing and stupid. This still will hold your monitor. I didn’t let mine sit for more than 2 minutes because the way it unloosens the screw is just way to dodgy even with washers. This will sag left and right and front. Please I urge you please if you want to mount your monitor in any way what so ever, just buy a monitor with vesa mounts. This is not worth it. Only if you have a really light monitor. I do not recommend this product to people who actually want something to hold their monitor up properly. Edit: after using this product for 5 years, It does the job well enough and I retract about it being a bad product. It actually does a fairy decent job lol
