Ordered arrived early, however, 3 roots were squishy n rotten upon arrival out of 2 bags. See to be the older seed stock roots

This review reflects my experience after planting.The US Gulf Coast states are not suitable for this northern-adapted cultivar. Locally evolved cultivars will survive on some of the far northern mountains of Georgia and Alabama, as well as parts of of the central south, such as the mountains of Tennessee, Virginia and Arkansas. But these won't.Our wintertime climate appears to be too variable for them, with warming spells which appear to falsely signal the approach of spring. Then when the temperature drops to below freezing the tender buds are killed. Northern cultivars are adapted to more snow, less rain, fewer warm days.

The ginseng roots that came in looked absolutely wonderful... They looked pretty and alive. I'm hoping to use these for personal use look forward to seeing them come up in the spring.Update- April 2022 - I planted the roots back in November 2021... I was worried not only because I thought it might be late, but we had such a craptastic winter... But what do you know?? I have some Finding growing! Not all 10 sprouted yet (2 out of 10), but that's because the area that I planted them in got trampled with fallen trees and a ton of snow... I think I am lucky with what did grow despite the circumstances!I'm definitely going to order more and plant them a little earlier in the fall season and have them in a safer place. I can't wait until they will all start maturing in the next few year ☺️

Excited to receive product. It came as 10 roots that were at least 3 years old. I have planted some outside and covered with plastic shielding to protect from snow and then I planted a couple indoors in some plants. Hope to see how they come out in the future.

Came on time which was important for planting. Roots were good size and instructions were clear. Will see how many come up in the spring.
