Gaylord Archival Modular Slide File Storage Kit with Drop-Front - Holds Up to 1,320 Slides!

As I shrink my father's photographic collection from space-consuming slide reels to more space-efficient storage, this was just what I was looking for. Compact, efficient, sturdy and archive quality. I think it was worth it.

We reorganized 15 carousel trays into these archival boxes. Each smaller box holds a tray, and there are label inserts to separate by date or event. We recaptured an entire upper closet shelf for storage!

This product is very well made and holds slides great. Also the vendor shipped my order fast.

I wanted to get my slides digitized so I could share them with friends and relatives, as well as, store them on digital media. They were stored in slide trays used for viewing on slide machines. After getting them digitized, they will remain in these boxes for years to come as an archive. The slide trays were not suitable for transporting to the digitizing company so these boxes will provide an orderly and convenient method to do so.

The box is ok. The corners have metal on the corners, of the boxes. Thye are thick and do not allow easy access to the box. The corners hang up on each other, opening and closing. The cardboard is thick and durable, trying to open is the main problem is fighting the box. I threw it away., I didn't use it till after the expiration date for returns.They should be another away to attach the corners!

We like that fact that the little boxes fit into the big box, giving a greater degree of organization. Also, the flap on the big box allows the little boxes to slide in and out so that the big box can be stacked. It is a little flimsy since it is cardboard but we live in a dry climate so not a problem. I can see where moisture could be a problem in humid or wet climates, such as Florida.
