I bought this 87Wh/7800mAh replacement battery for my old Asus laptop, and it worked great. The original battery was weak and barely holding a charge, so I wanted a bigger, better replacement instead of keeping the laptop plugged in all the time. The replacement quality feels good so far. The battery fit properly, the laptop recognized it without any issues, and the ease of replacement was straightforward. I didn’t have to fight with it or do anything complicated to get the laptop working again. The performance has been solid. It gave my old laptop new life and made it much more usable and portable again. The bigger battery capacity is a nice upgrade, especially if you’re trying to keep an older laptop running instead of replacing it. The charging speed seems fine for what it is, and I haven’t had any complaints with normal use. I can’t say much about the included tools because the battery itself was the main thing I cared about, but the replacement process was simple enough. Overall, this was a good value for restoring an older Asus laptop. It worked great, fit right, and helped make the laptop useful again. Would I buy it again? Yes. It was a solid replacement battery and did exactly what I needed.

In the end it works great! My comments are not a negative reflection on Fancy Buying their product works as it should. But when you take a look at the YouTube videos there are a lot of comments on how difficult this installation is. The mechanical installation is very simple, but the de-soldering and soldering is not simple and requires both equipment and experience. The experience can't be gained by watching a couple of videos. If you overheat the solder you will damage the circuit board! You need to heat the existing solder to melt it and remove the molten solder with either a wick or a de-soldering tool. Then insert the new cable and resolder it without bridging the connections which requires a temperature-controlled soldering iron with a very small tip and a small diameter solder . The battery pack is available with the board attached. If you don't have the experience that would be a good option! Or some of the customers cut the cable at the old battery and used crimp connectors with shrink wrap which would seem to be simple as well. Have Fun

My 5 year old Gateway laptop's battery had started to bloat to the point where it was pushing out the mouse pad. This was the exact replacement and even came with a small Phillips screwdriver to remove all the screws to open up the case, which made it easy to remove and replace the old battery.

I bought a M5Y1K Laptop Battery 10.6 inch replacement for a Dell laptop. They claim it is a 40Wk battery, as stated and on the battery itself. Instructions state to let it drain to 2%, Not 0%, on the first use, then charge it to 100%. It came drained to 0%. I let it charge anyway, then checked the capacity through a battery report. The design capacity is 41,440 mWh, but the actual "full charge capacity" is 29,600 mWh. I returned it and ordered another. Same Exact results. A new battery should have the same or at least close to the same design and actual full charge capacity. I returned it again. I'm ordering from somewhere else. It's obviously manufactured that way. Ironic they have a picture claiming their batteries have the full advertised capacity while their competitors do not!

fit/worked perfectly

My laptop started running really hot.... I realized it was the battery because the computer was only burning up when powered on, and plugged in. Just battery, no problem. Plugged in but off, no problem. But the battery, fully charged would only last about 45 minutes. I checked the original manufacturer and their replacement battery, while very fine, I am sure was really expensive compared to the offerings on Amazon. I bought one, it took me about 20 minutes to swap them out, and now my laptop runs good as new. Look for installation guidance from You Tube, not the manufacturer... almost nothing there. Anyway, a very satisfying purchase.
