Our Droewors is all natural 100% unprocessed beef. We are a small family owned and run business in the USA since 2005. We are fully USDA certified and use no chemical preservatives, no MSG, no Nitrates and no additives other than natural spices in our meat curing processes. You won't get heart burn or indigestion from our products! We dry it the old fashioned way, with time and a climate controlled environment. Just the way the local butcher does it in South Africa. Droewors is pure beef, but because it is not cooked, but cured, the enzymes in the meat remain in tact. This allows the body to more easily digest the protein. It is low fat and the existing fat is mostly unsaturated(the good kind). They are delicious and most brands have no sugar. To figure out which brand to get, I purchased several at once to compare.I’ve tried out 3 different brands of Droewors:(1) Braaitime(2) Ayoba-Yo(3) StryveBy far, Braaitime is the best of the bunch. Nice, smooth, flavor. The subtle coriander flavor brings you back for more. Ayoba-Yo was pretty good, but Braaitime was clearly better. Then far below is Stryve biltong sticks. They were noticeably spicy, even though they are labeled as original flavor. Braaitime lists all their ingredients (beef, salt, vinegar, black pepper, coriander, nutmeg, clove, and lamb casing), but the package I receive from Stryve included an ingredient β€œspices” so I’m not sure what is hiding in there. Today my order was delivered the packing does not look the same. I have not even opened it yet but I could see the oilyness i have never had this droe wors or any other droe wors that had oilyness to it. Usually it was longer pieces all of a sudden this order the droe wors is in smaller pieces. I had a piece and it is not the same as i usually get very dissapointing it is very oily that is all i could taste. I have 2 bags of droe worst thatI am not going to eat since thw taste and quality is not matching the price.
