The barley is good quality at a good price. I do find it strange that the packaging does not have cooking instructions or nutrition information. But it’s easy enough to look up those things on the internet.

I love barley, lentils, rice, orzo, and all kinds of dry beans so I try to keep them as staples. I have also changed my diet considerably, aided by a dietitian, after discovering my unacceptably high cholesterol levels. This brand, I hadn't tried before so I added a bag to my larder line-up. I love the flavor of barley that's cooked well. Through Amazon, I have bought different brands and more to share with family. Lately, I've been batch-cooking mixtures of lentils, peas, grains and rices, then freezing them in portions that I can pull out for soups and stews with meats. I'm glad that I tried this brand. I'll be trying more of their products because this is a good barley.

I use this grain in Soups, Chiles, and Stews. It has a slightly chewy consistency and a delightfully mild nutty flavor. Healthy and delicious. What more can one ask for?
