We are using this as an avairy for a King pigeon, and the space is perfect. We bought 2 of them and took the screen off the panels to allow one big cage. Its a sturdy cage with easy access to food and water. Plenty of shelves. Slide up doors that latch closed. We use paper on the bottom for messes. Ps. We are using this indoors. Honestly, if you have a few pet pigeons, or doves this is great space for them. Oh and the front completely opens for cleaning. So happy we bought this! Edit; we bought 4 more for our other birds! Compared to having this built by a handman, this is a great quick and easy option to house bigger birds...pigeons and doves, non chewers.. The slide up doors are perfect to get food and water out and paper on the floor (we use butcher paper because is easy) Our birds are pets not food incase the question comes to mind. The paper is wide enough and length is cut to size.. I may even be back to purchase more for our cats! A side note to negative quality comments. This isn't going to be perfect. It isn't handmade in your home. It manufactured. Facts. But what IT is...IS a great way to give cats or in my case birds a large space without a lot of fuss. And for those placing these outside. Its DEFINITELY going to need yearly maintenance. Period. Its wood. It needs protection. We have lived in Florida and now Arizona. The elements are going to wear on it JUST like everything else. This will not be a set it up and forget it product. If you can handle that. Its a GREAT cage.

I love this design! It's perfect for anyone with limited space who still wants to give their kitty a safe place to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. However, the estimated assembly time of 45 minutes for two people was a bit optimistic. After sorting and organizing all the parts, it took us closer to two hours to complete. One of the wooden pieces arrived damaged because a screw had been driven in too tightly at the factory, causing the wood to split. Rather than going through the hassle of returning it, I removed the screw, applied wood glue to the crack, clamped it, and it was fully repaired within about 30 minutes. Despite those minor issues, I'm very happy with the catio and would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact outdoor enclosure for their cat.

This was so easy to put together and my cats love it. I loved it so much I bought one for my daughter. I like the slanted roof so water won't pool where you don't want it. I did put waterproofing on the outside and it hasnt faded or dried out at all after a year. 🙂

I have to say that I love this concept and the design is great. The actual quality is another story. I based my decision on other reviews but this thing will not make it through a summer outdoors. Wood is EXTREMELY cheap and there will be splinters on the wood in no time which will be a problem. The wood splits when drilling into. I agree with other reviewers that the instruction manual is a joke. You literally have one product to sell and you can’t get the instructions right? Come on. This is sadly just more junk from China. Luckily I am handy and improvised to make it sturdier because it is lacking and some pre-drilled holes did not exist even though the manual said it would. It took me about 3 hours to put together - from unpacking it, laying out all of the pieces and taking my time. You absolutely need an electric drill to get this done. It’s not impossible or difficult to assemble - you just need to pay attention. I am just bummed I paid this much for such poor quality. I would have been okay with $150 TOPS. Now I am going to hire someone to copy this design and make with teak so it withstands the elements and time. And the smell / fumes coming off of the wood was intense. I aired it out for 24 hours before using because that seemed 100% toxic.

We have the happiest, most spoiled cats on the planet!!! After much searching and reading of reviews we chose this enclosure and don't regret it one bit. My husband and I put it together without too much difficulty - instructions were pretty clear and together it took us less than 2 hours. As you can see from the pictures he built a fabulous platform for it so it could reach our side window and overlook the birdfeeders and birdbath. We also bought a window flap from a company called Cat Flap Fever Industries for a little over $100 to keep the bugs out of the house. We reversed the top portion of the enclosure so that the opening would be against the window/house but we'd still be able to open the bottom portion if need be. We wish we reversed the little hideaway box on the top so it was facing the yard but didn't think of it. My husband also secured the unit to the base with some L-shaped brackets. We highly recommend this product and feel it's very well made and sturdy! Hubby thinks we should have gotten 2 so they had more room, but they mostly watch birds and chipmunks, sunbathe and snooze. They're happy as anything!!!!

Bought this so my cat can safely be out on the patio. It took two of us about an hour to assemble with a power screwdriver. The parts were well marked, some of the instructions were a bit vague, but we figured it out and love the end result! I can see why some say it isn’t good quality because the wood isn’t very dense, but it’s real wood, not particle board and made for cats, so I think it’s fine. I would have like the wire to be a bit sturdier. My girl loves it and the fact that she can be outside and up off the ground to watch everything around her! I did get the cover for it since it is housed outside in NJ. I’m hoping that will help it hold up for longer.

Very happy with this so far, having only had it a couple of weeks can't comment on durability being permanently positioned outside but I think given the same care/maintenance that you would to any other outdoor 'furniture', it looks as if it should be fine. Quite easy to assemble, we are not great at DIY but do own an electric screwdriver which was invaluable, it took us about 2.5 hours. I like the fact that it was not difficult to adapt to suit our needs. The lower 'cat flap' entrance proved fairly easy to adjust in height so that it now aligns with an existing cat flap in the back wall of our house. The top section full door opens towards our garden so we have easy access when outside. We have always had 'outdoor' cats but a few months ago adopted a 9yr old 'indoor' cat. She comes outside with us when we are in the garden, but the addition of this catio which she can access herself in the day through our cat flap is proving a success. We were concerned about the cost outlay for something she may not use, but in the short time we have had it, she can regularly be found in there watching the world go by.

This is a lovely product. The only thing was allot of the wood didn’t have any drilled holes on one side but did the other, so we had to do that ourselves. And some of the wood was chipped or scraped in places. I would have sent it back if it hadn’t been I needed it urgently. But all in all it’s a lovely catio and the price is good. Took me and my sister nearly 3 hrs to do but we did have to drill allot of the holes ourselves like I said.

I was concerned after reading other reviews that this would arrive broken due to poor packaging. But it was really well packaged and arrived without any issues. It was easy to assemble. Took about 3 hours to do it by myself. Instructions could be better - I ended up having to undo and redo some of the bottom panels because of unclear instructions - but overall it was easy. I was missing one package of screws but had some of my own to compensate. Most importantly my cat loves it. He is constantly asking to go into it. It is sturdy and there are no worries that he will escape. Would buy again.

So i tend to rarely leave reviews unless products are either a load of old pony or exceptional - this i am pleased to say is a positive review. Firstly the packaging, amazing how they get it all into the relatively small box, and then each piece is wrapped to perfection without excess material but just right. The identifying marks on each piece are actually quite hard to see and find, but once found it all makes perfect sense. It took 2 of us an hour to build with a cordless screwdriver (you will need one) and it was actually good fun to build. The finished product is amazing - how they build this and make money on it is incredible. you couldn't build anything half as good for less. One bit of advice, measure your door width before you build it all inside - ask me how i know !!! Add your own bits and toys and the kittens just love this and are in and out constantly. I have a couple of kittens still quite young, so with one of them flexi tubes from a play pen, connected to the back of the cat flap to the hatch and secured at both ends means they can come and go outside the house to the safety of the catio without risk of being hassled by other pets until they are larger and more confident. Hope this helps someone, for £180 inc postage - its excellent value for money

Overall, I do really like this catio. It's cute, easy to move since it comes on wheels and has plenty of places for cats to rest. As well, it's survived being outside for multiple harsh winters with no wear or tear. That being said, I have a few complaints: 1) The instructions aren't clear. I actually ended up building part of it backwards because the instruction booklet didn't label it properly. 2) One of the handles broke when I attempted to screw it in. I ended up just using duct tape to hold the handle together so it functions just fine, but it's kind of ugly. I would still recommend this catio as I am happy with it. I think it took about 4 hours to build solo, but that did involve me having to redo the errors.
