These chair tips worked really well on my planter project. I needed the planters lifted just enough so that when it rains, the planters won't be sitting in standing water. After several months, they're still in great shape.

We have fairly heavy dining chairs on true wood plank flooring. Been using common self-stick felt pads for years but they don't really stay put and as they age, they gather material that MIGHT scratch the flooring finish no matter how clean we keep it. Decided to try these sliders. After a successful experimental installation on one chair to prove it would not mar our flooring's finish, I installed them on ALL our chairs. It's been a couple of months now, and none have caused any harm AND they are staying put. The installation required drilling holes in the chair legs. The drill bit I used was a tiny bit smaller than the diameter of the nails in the little sliders. This was to assure the nails did not split the chair legs' wood and to make the nails fit tightly in the drilled holes. The felt pads that go between the nylon floor glide and the tip of the chair leg seem to be to help with self-leveling in case your drilled holes are a little off perfectly vertical. Good product. Does what it's advertised to do. easily a fair price for the product. Recommend.

These were too rough for my floor. Needed smooth ones.

Works great except when you wife keeps dragging the furniture across the tile floor and popping then out.
