My entire 2.5 acre lake (about 7 feet deep) was solid green with duckweed for many years. One guest even got his golf clubs out thinking it was a putting green. I poured in one gallon Sonar Genesis, and 30 days later nothing. Per the instructions, I poured in a second gallon 30 days later, and waited for another 30 days. So now after 60 days I began to see maybe about 20% less duckweed. I was very discouraged, but I order another gallon (3 gallons total), and after pouring it in and waiting another 30 days (90 days total and 3 gallons later) maybe at best 45% of the duck week was gone. After four months about 75% was gone. Six month later from the first treatment and three gallons of Genesis later, about 98% of the duckweed has vanished. The fish and turtles are healthy and thriving. It appears to be nontoxic as advertised. I'm ecstatic with the results. A private company wanted $6950 to do this, and I did it myself with maybe 20 minutes of work for about $1200 with excellent results. I could not be more pleased. Give it time. Patience is a virtue!

Applied to my pond that was completely covered with duckweed. Started to die in 1-2 weeks and all dead in 3 weeks. One good rain broke up all the dead floaters and now I have a clear pond.
