Great grass seed great customer service
I needed to kill off my original lawn because of creeping Charlie invasion! My original lawn was all of this grass seed and it was tough, and durable, I’ve had 65 foster dogs come through our house, and they really love real grass! Then the dreaded creeping Charlie came, and I didn’t use a defensive action before it took over, so I ordered another bag to get ready to replant. However, The first bag I ordered was apparently delivered to the wrong house, with a really bad photo taken by the UPS driver, that showed absolutely nothing that had any yellow in it, it actually looked like a car, but even then, you couldn’t tell.So I got in touch with David at the company, I told him how much trouble I’d been having with FedEx and UPS, asked him to send it USPS because we have an amazing letter carrier. The replacement was sent through USPS, and it arrived within 4 days of my communication with David!I’m so pleased, and ready to put down another round of seed to get my grass growing back for my foster dogs, and my own dogs!Living in the desert is tough to grow grass, but all the dogs love the real stuff, and the area isn’t huge, but with my foster dogs, the first thing they do when I take them out is roll around in the grass. They and my own dogs will be happy again.I can’t wait to get my yard back for all my furkids

Simply amazing product
So I’m a believer after many hours of watching many videos and reading on their products glad that Amazon carries their product. I have planted their perennial ryegrass seed and was blown away with the results. Getting ready to do my my backyard with the blue grass as soon as the snow goes away. Pictures will show the before and the after. From what I’ve read bluegrass takes some time to look great but I’m ready for the challenge. For now definitely awesome price point plus being prime too totally worth it. Came in fast from barenburg’s headquarters and so ready to do my yard. If anyone thinks that’s other brands are better try again and get seed from these professionals who only do grass seeds and nothing else. They are truly a remarkable company, as for the seed it self it has a yellow coating to help jump start the growth. The picture I attached is to show you the quality of their product not one bit of weed seed or nothing that gets mixed in and called grass seed hence the quality. advice from an old friend said once sometimes you get what you pay for. that’s the truth quality products and professional people have me buying this as long as I can and plan to be the first person to show case it and it’s beauty.

You pay for 10 lbs, you only get 5 lbs
What the Amazon web page does not tell you is that half of the weight of what is in the sack is the coating they apply to the seeds. I was skeptical as to whether this coating would double the germination success of the seed. I tried to do some research about this online, but there is a scarcity of information. I was able to find some studies that indicated that the enhancement is real but only very slight, even in the conditions where the coating would be expected to have the most benefit. This led me to the conclusion that the filler effect is likely the primary reason that seed producers promote seed with coating. They charge you for 10 lbs of seed but you only get 5 lbs. If they or anyone else has any reliable data to the contrary, that was generated in an independent study conducted by an agricultural university as opposed to the seed producer or some commercial operation paid by the seed producer to perform the study, I would be interested in seeing that data. Of course when you look at this kind of data you also have to look in detail at how the study was carried out. The great majority of studies done in connection with something that has a direct effect on some corporations profits are performed by some commercial research lab paid by a company with skin in the fire, so to speak. The great majority of such studies produce bogus, misleading results. But again, if anyone knows of any legitimate impartial studies that show unequivocally that the effective germination rate increases by a factor of two when the seeds are coated, I would very much like to see the study. Meanwhile, my assessment of this situations is that the primary reason for the coating is that it allows the seed producer to deliver 5 lbs of seed and charge you for 10 lbs. Nowhere on the Amazon web page was there any mention that the coating takes up half of the weight and that the amount of seed you get is actually only 5 lbs. I'm gonna have to try to return this. Sigh. Why wasn't this producer/seller required to disclose on the Amazon web page that the quantity of seed you get in this 10 lb sack is 5 lbs?

Brooooo
It works, I mixed this with some starter grass fertilizer and sprayed it’s over a large area. It has grown very beautifully! The soil I used lacked nutrients and I knew it might not take but it did anyway and I love the results! This post is about three months after purchase. It took a little bit to come in so I thought it wasn’t going to take but it is full and luscious green now in the dead heat of summer with no water because I don’t have a way of getting my hose back there. It has survived solely on limited rain.

So far it looks great!
Bought this a month ago, did some scarifying and then dethatching, and then put down humic, fertilizer, and this seed and got some nice results in 3 weeks.
