Delicious!
Always very good. Excellent taste and it’s organic. Must be stirred in well and there may be a bit of sediment left behind but that’s expected with carob powder. You don’t feel that as you drink it in liquid - it doesn’t feel gritty by any means. I enjoy it in coffee or a glass of cold milk.

Best substitute for chocolate if you have food allergies!
I had to stop consuming chocolate because of a severe nickel (food) allergy. I decided to try carob to make brownies. They were great! The brownies had a mild chocolate flavor. Even my husband who, was skeptical and a chocolate junkie, thought the brownies were good. I'm going to try a couple other recipes and I would definitely buy again.

Very fresh product
The product was fresh. I dissolved it in a little of water and then mix it with hot milk and is a perfect warm drink. No lumps, very fine powder. Great taste.

Tasty But Beware Packaging: Messy Times Ahead!
Delicious, but beware the packaging! The resealable bag does not reseal, and when you try to reseal it, the bag “exhales” a significant quantity of carob powder, which is very finely ground, all over EVERYTHING. Had to wash my hands, my kitchen counter, floors, and launder the robe I was wearing the first time I tried to close the bag. This product should come in a sturdy canister, not a flimsy, allegedly resealable bag. Wish I’d known how tricky it was to handle before opening the bag. Tasty powder, though. Made a killer carob “hot cocoa”. But, holy hellmouth, the mess🤦

Low glycemic, naturally sweet chocolate substitute
Naturally sweet chocolate alternative is just as advertised. It doesn’t dissolve easily, but I made a syrup from soy milk and carob powder and keep it in the fridge for smoothies. It makes delicious protein smoothies for our no sugar no caffeine family.

It can't replace chocolate BUT...
I bought this for probably the same reason a lot of people did: we had to give up chocolate and wanted something to replace it. I dont think this tastes like chocolate at all, but I do see why people recommend this as a replacement. It's like chocolate's much more mature, earthy cousin. However, I've been using it more as a coffee replacer? Listen, I don't like straight black coffee and I never have. But I do like frappaccinos, coffee ice cream, and really anything that has a HINT of coffee flavor. The problem is, my GI system cannot handle any quantity of coffee anymore. I've tried the cream frapps at Starbucks, and they just aren't the same. They're missing the balance of the coffee. They're missing the roundness and fullness that coffee brings to the sweetness of the drink. And while I havent been able to replicate starbucks at home, I will say that carob is PERFECT for adding that roundness that's missing from a lot of the things I can drink these days. I like to make mock lattes out of almond milk, spices like cinnamon and ginger, sometimes vanilla or caramel, and maple syrup for sweetness (and a bit of flavor). However, even these drinks I felt were lacking something. I have drank full carob drinks (basically a bunch of carob as if it was hot chocolate), and I didnt love it. But one day I decided to add just a little carob to my mock latte, perhaps 1/2 a teaspoon. And this is it! THIS was the balance I had been missing! Now, I really love adding carob to any drink that feels like it's missing a little something. Does it taste exactly like coffee? No, of course not. But it does provide the same balance/roundness that has been missing from my drinks. I sometimes even throw it into some starbucks creme frapps just to see. The pumpkin spice cream frapp was HORRIBLE -- the carob helped but couldnt save it because it just tasted too artificial. Still, carob is great for a lot of these other balancing acts and I'm so glad that I gave it a try. This is a pretty big pouch so I haven't run out of it yet since I don't use it that often (and it's probably been a year... maybe i should check the expiration xD), but I'll definitely be repurchasing it when I do.

Yummy
Carob doesn't taste like chocolate. However, this makes for a nice change when enjoyed for its own merits.

Extremely interesting flavour! Carob is the future!
It first tasted like Korean Jjajang paste, then like soybeans, then like chocolate and it has this coffee aftertaste. Those who are trying to quit chocolate and coffee, soy and rice milk and health nuts this might be for you.

Great for those who want less oxalates
Great powder - tastes like chocolate with a the smell of figs mixed in. Very pleasant - not bitter at all. Great for those who can't have chocolate / cocoa - and unlike cocoa/chocolate there are little to no oxalates.
