How The Vest Was Won
Well, this is an interesting story. The vest is good I should say, before I go on (and on, as my wife ex-wife would say), but my reasons for buying it, and the results, are certainly worth detailing. My son, you see, Derek Junior (and god only knows why we chose that name, I’m not a Derek and neither was my father – as far as I know, I never met him!), had entered a wrestling competition in order to impress a girl (by the name of Myrtle, of all things). The trouble was he was somewhat (2kg, to be exact) underweight to take on the lad (Barry Lamb, to be exact) he wanted to take on. Said lad, Barry, was (is) a big unit, but soft as the proverbial, so our Derek fancied his chances. The trouble was that the bout or whatever you’d call it, there was a whole evening full of fights at the local WMC, was far too forthcoming, ie, soon, for him to put on the necessary weight in time. Thus it was that the idea came to us to purchase THIS lovely vest. However, when it come to the weigh in the referee or whoever he thought he was insisted that our Des took his shirt off (the weirdo) thus revealing our subterfuge. In the event, Derek had little or no choice but to fight Glenn Tucker, a weasely character but nastier than a hot cup of £&7);?. Poor Des. Far from impressing Myrtle he got his bottom handed to him, to put it politely. All of which said, I have no complaints whatsoever anent the item itself

Nice and comfy.
Received yesterday and have been wearing for 6 hours and have it on this morning. I am off work this week and will be wearing every day, all day while doing my usual house work and daily stuff.I am a 5' 7" female, UK size 16 with rather large boobies, I have the top strap attached nearly to the smallest size and the bottom strap about 1/3 tight. It is really comfy to wear specifically across my shoulders. I am a decorator and my mum has just been diagnosed with osteoporosis and arthritis (she was a child minder and dinner lady for 30 years - very, very active, my grandad also had osteoporosis). I read a report on how wearing weighted vests can help with bone density and prevent or delay arthritis, so was interested to see if this small change could help with the possible delay of the inevitable. In terms of the quality of the product, it is well made, the weights are evenly distributed. I like how there is a good amount of weigh on the back and this, I feel, is helping with my posture or at least making more aware. The only downside is that these vests used to be really cheap - £20 for a 5kg in Argos and Wilkos before the pandemic. NOW you are lucky to find one below £40. As with all health related stuff once it becomes popular it also becomes expensive.Personally I think I will out grow this weight very soon, it is (according to reports), the optimum weight to see a difference in bone density and possible weight loss. Be interesting to see how that works along with a calorie controlled diet. Currently happy to wear everyday and looking forward to seeing if it gets in the way of work.I don't know if this will suit everyone, I have a very active job and use my upper body a lot - for someone who isn't used to lifting weights or has a sedentary job or lifestyle - maybe 30 mins a day to begin with til you get used to it.

Bounces when running
I bought this vest (the 10kg version) to wear on slow runs to build core and leg strength. It seems well made. Yes, there's a bit of a smell to it due to the filling. And it's not immediately clear which way up it goes (although this is written clearly in the description above - elastic goes under the arms, not on the shoulders). But certainly no issues with quality. Why 4 stars then? I've a 38-39" chest, and despite being very adjustable, it just doesn't quite adjust down small enough to stay still when I'm running. If I wanted it for gym work instead it would probably be perfect, but I don't. I note that the product photos show the lighter vests as being smaller, so one of those might have been better for me (albeit with less weight than I wanted).Genuinely a really good weighted vest, but if you're also an "athletic" build and want to use it for running, maybe look elsewhere, consider the lighter versions, or be prepared to have to hold it in place with one arm to stop bouncing.

Comfy and sturdy
This is great. I am 5.4ft and have historic back issues so I went light. It’s actually quite heavy, I don’t know how the 10kg peeps manage : ) anyway it’s great for my walks!

It is what it says. I wish I'd bought one that had pockets to build up the weight.
