Again, does it fit, without rattling, a Colt LE6920SOCOM, M4A1, with a 16" barrel?

Although the Colt LE6920 comes with a bayonet lug, there is currently no commercially available bayonet that will fit it. When you attach the M-9 bayonet, you'll see the bayonet support ring is resting several inches back from the tip of the barrel. It should rest at the base of the flash suppressor with the entire blade portion beyond the barrel tip. As for a barrel extender, I don't know what that would do to the bullets flight characteristics.

ALL bayonets made for any AR or M4 style rifle ONLY fits 14.5 inch and 20 inch barrels period. Any other length BBL will not fit your bayonet properly.
