Werner AC11 Stepladder Hanger

Preferred step ladder rack, I have three. Made in USA.

Kind of pricey but it is want I wanted to help organize my garage.

The product works better than advertised as I store a six foot and a a two foot ladder on the same unit.

As another reviewer stated even using a Werner ladder this bracket will not work as shown in the advertised photo unless you want the ladder floating away from the wall by at least 6". (see photo) You can turn the ladder around and it will be flush to the wall. The metal is very strong and mounting was easy. The Phillips head screws are OK but can strip easily when going into an old hard stud so pilot drill a small hole first. I was tempted to bend the bracket upward so that the ladder could go on the other way but the metal is too stiff and would require heating it first. For now I'll just store it backwards. I'll be buying another one for my 8' ladder.

So it's not a big deal but I would prefer that as I remove the ladder that I am holding it with the steps facing me. But because of the design and physics of the ladder in order to have the ladder as close to the wall as possible you have to turn it the other way. Further, with the apparent desire to 'be all to every one' the actual depth of the rack is quite a bit larger than I would have ever guessed it to be. All this said, it is sturdy, yet still too intrusive for my 'behind the door' storage desires. I would have been better to install hooks that directly hook the top rung to get the ladder as flush as possible.
