I recently got the Apple Smart Keyboard for my iPad, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for me. As someone who writes a lot, I was looking for something that could potentially replace my laptop. And guess what? This keyboard has done just that. First off, the feel of this keyboard is fantastic. The keys have just the right amount of responsiveness. Every tap is like the keyboard is reading my mind, making typing feel effortless and smooth. It's a real joy to use, especially for long writing sessions. But here's the catch – it's not backlit. I often find myself working late into the night, and not having that backlight is a bit of a letdown. It's like having a sports car without headlights – it's great, but you can't fully enjoy it when it gets dark. Despite that, I'm still really pleased with this keyboard. It's slim, it's sleek, and it attaches to the iPad like they're two peas in a pod. Since I've started using it, my laptop has been collecting dust. The convenience of just popping my iPad into this keyboard and getting down to business is unbeatable. So, if you're considering the Apple Smart Keyboard for your iPad and you're a daytime writer or you've got a good lamp, I'd say go for it. It's a solid, well-performing keyboard that might just make you forget about your laptop. Just keep in mind the lack of backlighting if you're a night owl like me.

I bought this because the description says: "This Smart Keyboard is designed to work seamlessly with iPad (7th, 8th, and 9th generation), iPad Air (3rd generation), and iPad Pro 10.5‑inch, providing a comfortable typing experience on the go." This keyboard looks and feels like an OEM Apple keyboard and it works fine on my 2017 Release iPad Pro, which I use every day and still works fantastically well.

I have a 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” and this is the perfect keyboard for it. It’s not backlit, but I’m a touch typist, so that’s not a big deal for me. The keyboard has to be one of the lightest that was made, and I love the fact that it gets its power from the iPad - there’s no charging required ever! The keyboard is amazingly comfortable to use, despite it being so thin. It’s got a type of waterproof fabric covering it that feels good on the fingers. It’s a very responsive keyboard and I can type blazingly fast on it - as fast as any full-size keyboard. If you have an older iPad, you have to consider this gem of a keyboard!

I bought this iPad and keyboard to take the place of my old Mac laptop which is so old it is unable to update or allow access to certain websites. For my uses, the iPad does everything I need and I love the touch screen. The keyboard is almost too small for comfort, but it's nice when typing a letter or such. The iPad found my wireless Brother laser printer the first time I hit the print button. I didn't have to install, pair it or anything. I actually was surprised at the price offered on Amazon. Less than Apple's price due to Apple's agreement and spreading the use of their products. My young grandkids have these iPads and love them, too.

The key board is lightweight (1/2 lbs), it functions also as a protection for the iPad as well as a stand. I use it now all the time rather than the virtuell key board on the iPad. Even when I hang out on my recliner I use it, I set it on a pillow or the yoga cushion on my lap to get the angle right. On my desk the angle is fine. It turned my tablet into a desktop computer in miniature, which I really like. I rarely remove it now from the iPad, but this is very easy to do, it connects and disconnects with ease, magnetically/magicly. I feel that I hack with more effort on this keyboard than on my previous one (for my old Samsung tablet) because of the way the keys respond, a little less springy as I would like but I assume that is the price I pay for it’s smallness, which ich really like. (Also I do not write books or papers on it, but definitely longer letters.) I bought it from amazon warehouse as it was somewhat damaged /scuffed? (not that I can see), so the price was good. The smart functions I am still learning. I am not familiar with Mac computers, I assume that a person who has a Mac would be familiar with the short cuts and smart functions. I had to search the internet to find out how to get the German umlauts etc. I like it pretty well and I am glad I got it, I would recommend it to a person who looks for an external key board for her iPad.

Tried a couple of other brands, but nothing was good as Apple’s Smart Keyboard. Should have never tried to go cheaper and get generic, because I they were a waste of money. Apple’s keyboard is super quality and last the longest, and I love never having to fiddle with Bluetooth connection. Never trying to go cheaper again!

According to Apple, this Apple Smart Keyboard is covered under the iPad's Apple Care+, if you purchased it. While not a full folio, the Apple Smart keyboard offers many benefits: 1. Compact a. It easily connects and disconnects via the quick connect magnets on the iPad Air 3rd gen b. Seamless signal connection, no Bluetooth to pair, no batteries required, powered from the iPad. c. Easy to pack up and throw in a back pack, attached or unattached to your iPad. 2. Keyboard Shortcuts a. The shortcuts will spoil you and make you more productive. Very useful! b. Besides all the usual cmd key shortcuts, there’s a group of Tab key shortcuts, too! c. Customizable keyboard shortcuts via the iPad Settings d. Great for foreign language typing as well as native language typing. 3. The Smart Keyboard as a folio/stand/holder a. Makes a nice viewing angle when used as a stand in landscape mode b. Magnetic, so it sticks to metal surfaces and does NOT slide around! c. Does NOT provide full protection for the iPad, leading to “d.” below. d. I plan on getting some kind of full case to hold and protect both the iPad and Smart Keyboard, Then I will transport them attached together and toss the unit in a backpack or carrying bag. e. The entire keyboard and folio are fully sealed to keep out dirt, dust, and liquids. f. When folded up, the keys never come in contact with the screen. Finally, if you combine the keyboard with a mouse your productivity and ease of use will go up even more. And, you’ll keep your fingerprints, skin oil and dirt from ever contacting the screen. With the keyboard and mouse, it’s extremely rare I ever touch the screen now. FYI, the Apple Magic Mouse accommodates screen/trackpad gestures right on the mouse.

The keyboard is small but easy to use. It is easy to attach to iPad magnetically and stays attached. The connection is good. It closes over the screen and serves a very good protector, stays closed. It is designed to form a triangle that creates a stand. It is sturdy and well-made.

La tastiera, come ogni prodotto originale Apple, è di qualità eccellente. Si collega senza il minimo intoppo all'ipad (8a G.) con il suo aggancio magnetico che non sbaglia un colpo. Viene riconosciuta in maniera istantanea dall'ipad, senza effettuare alcuna operazione di installazione. La tastiera è di un materiale simile al neoprene, totalmente impermeabile e quindi a prova di incidente nell'uso (polvere e liquidi). l'escursione dei tasti è molto piccola, ma d'altronde con una tastiera praticamente a scomparsa non ci si poteva aspettare di meglio. ad ogni modo la digitazione è ottimale. Non copre la parte posterire dell'ipad!!! io ho acquistato contemporaneamente un guscio protettivo da ricercare tra quelli compatibili con la tastiera (ossia che lasciano liberi i contatti di collegamento)

Vorweg: Nein, diese Tastatur ist alles andere als günstig. Aber: Sie ist jeden Cent wert. Ich habe mir ein neues IPad gekauft und lange überlegt, ob ich mir diese Tastatur leisten soll. Es gibt durchaus auch deutlich günstigere Tastaturen. Bei meinem alten Tablet hatte ich eine solche und war insgesamt eigentlich auch zufrieden damit. Die original Apple Tastatur hat für mich folgende Vorteile: + sie lässt sich sehr leicht entfernen, da sie magnetisch gehalten wird. Ein großer Vorteil, wenn man die Tastatur nicht immer braucht. Sie ist zwar nicht schwer oder besonders klobig, aber angenehmer ist es natürlich ohne ;-) + Die Tastatur muss nicht umständlich ein- und ausgeschaltet werden, und auch nicht per bluetooth verbunden. Die Verbindung zum IPad wird über drei Kontakte an der Seite des IPad hergestellt. Ebenso die Versorgung mit Strom. + Die Tastatur lässt sich ohne Probleme auseinander- und zusammenfalten. Der Klappmechanismus ist nicht zu leicht- und nicht zu schwergängig. + Der Druck, der nötig ist, um die Tasten anzuschlagen, ist für meinen Geschmack genau richtig gewählt + Der Tastenabstand ist natürlich enger, als bei einem Laptop oder gar einer „richtigen“ Tastatur, man stellt sich aber sehr schnell darauf ein Negativ: bisher nichts gefunden Fazit: Für mich der ideale Begleiter und die perfekte Ergänzung zu meinem IPad. Ich möchte nicht mehr darauf verzichten!

Compré el iPad para la escuela 9 generación, cheque el modelo para ver si modelo para ver la compatibilidad del teclado. Los materiales muy buenos, el teclado se siente suave. Es original el teclado de Apple, se conecto al instante ya que es magnético. Sirve como funda, solo le falta la parte de atrás y una buena mica de hidrogel. Solo me faltaría el lápiz y queda algo mejor
