I ordered 4 of these as part of an upgrade, mainly because they fitted over the holes from my former soap dishes.Firstly - what a faff to fit. There's a base plate to which the main dish holder is attached by way of an allen screw. Except that the provided allen key will only turn at max 180 degrees (as it hits the wall and has to be taken out and relocated) and it needs several turns to tighten it. Wouldn't it have made more sense to supply a allen screwdriver?Anyway... I persevered.But...The soap dish only sits in the holder about 1 cm and today (they've been up for 3 days) I caught the edge of the dish with my little finger. It hardly brushed it but sent the dish wheeling in the air to land in the sink. The dish shattered into pieces hence my warning in the title. The idea is that you can take the dish out to clean but it's very easy to accidentally knock out and if you have one in the shower or if it hits the tiles on the bathroom / shower room floor it could cut you badly. It certainly isn't toughened glass (like you get in car windscreens).The base should have been designed to sit deeper in the holding ring.I've had to order a new one as I'm stuck with the holder, having drilled the holes for it, but I'm gluing all 4 in place.
