Growing up in Kona as a child, we used to go shoreline fishing or friends would share their catch. Dad had a similar to one of these. It worked well. On my recent visit to Kona, I stayed with my sister and we went fishing. She only had a knife which was a pain to scaling the fish. I will take these for my sister on my next trip. I'm sure she will love it. Looking forward to trying the different ones to see which I like best.

These fish scalers work well and are easy to use. Lightweight and effective, though some parts feel a bit cheap. Good for occasional use.

It isn’t like they were expensive, but right out of the packaging they are noticeably cheap. That, said, I’m sure they’ll work for what I got them for as much as I expect the two pieces that aren’t one piece construction to come apart. I’ll update if pleasantly surprised or disappointed even more than I expect.

My 7 yr old brings home medium size fishes 8-10inches of them. Cleaning fishes is a lot less messier with these tools. I am so happy I have them.
