Life changing, on my must read list, grace set's us free and empowers us in Christ! I fooled myself thinking I could earn favor!
I heard Joesph Prince on TBN, and his attire and the show on TBN made me question if he was fluff or a prosperity gospel teacher. I almost ordered the book though as I liked the things he said, that were unlike stuff I had heard before. Yet, I didn't at first as didn't want to get sucked into hype. Then months later when God led me to a new church and a big time of changes for blessing in my life, even in still challenging circumstances, I was told to read this book by people at my church and my pastor. So I finally did. This book is life changing if you grasp the message of it! It is now on my must read list! I like Joseph Price says, like most people, had made grace into a basic and check off the list concept, something that baby Christians study and then you get it and move on. Yet, grace while simple, it also a huge key to the Christian life, not just in salvation, but in every area. I read this maybe 6 months ago, if that, and already it has change my life and I now more than ever am on a path to reigning by the grace of God in my life in more areas and in impacting others as a vessel for Jesus, by His grace! I have lived as best I could to really live for God, most who know me would say I am one of the most respected men of God they know, not that I ever thought or people thought I was perfect, and I have had my challenges, but all of that time, I had this blindness over my mind, I actually in some way, could not grasp why God was not blessing me as I was doing all I could and in great steps of faith to serve Him. I don't want to go off in all I had done and the kind of life I had lived, but in many ways I would be like Paul, in being able to boast at what I had done in doing what I thought God wanted me to do and live according to, and in my finances, I had been a strong supporter of tithing, for nearly 10 years, and not a lot of people under 30 tithe, but I would struggle at times in that because was I tithing in everything in every area, in every way, well of course not, but I put it under grace, if I forgot to tithe on a birthday gift, well I was trying to please God and tithe and I was doing it as best I could from the right motive, not giving to get, but giving out of love of God, but yet I struggled in areas of my life financially and I didn't understand why. I now see that God was letting me experience the purpose of the law, I was like Joesph price says, living luke warm, grace and law, it was not life giving. Now if you asked me was I doing that, I would say no, we don't live by the law, but my thoughts and mindset, was living and my thinking and believing was in law and grace, and it caused me pain. I now see that grace set's us free and empowers us in Christ! Grace does not weaken or lessen us, I don't give power to the law in trying to keep it in tithing, but I live in grace and fully expect grace to change me to being cheerfully giving above and beyond a tithe, not in earning or expecting God's blessing, for I now claim and have the full blessings of God, by grace, not just by imparted justification, but imparted righteousness of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit to change my mind and give me faith, so that I come to God, just as Jesus would, without sin, having kept the law in full, and fully deserving of God's blessings, for it is in Jesus Christ, that righteousness by grace is imparted to me, in Him. I fooled myself thinking I could earn favor and anything from God in trying to please Him before, in trying to do my best at the law, but no one can keep the law, and even if I fail at 1 little thing in God's law, I am guilty as the scripture says of breaking it all! This book is a life changing book. It is not grace preachers, who fully embrace grace, who are down playing the law or grace, or preaching cheap grace, there is no cheap grace, if you have the grace of Jesus, you have the most priceless grace there is! If you are not being changed by grace, you are not embracing the full grace of Jesus, but going back and forth between grace and law, and that brings no power or change any where close, if at all, to that of the grace of Jesus, in full! Pastors and people who preach law, they are the ones who are down playing the law, lowering the standard of the law, so that they can feel they can come even close to keeping the law! We have law or we have grace, and the Bible calls law the ministry of death, we as fallen people, with sin nature in us, when we come into law, the law increases the sin in us! The purpose of the law is convert the sinner, to know their need of a savior! It is by grace we are saved. This book is a must read.

GOD WANTS YOU TO REIGN!
When it comes to the Holy Scriptures, Joseph Prince's message is on the same wavelength with the Apostle Paul and Jesus Christ. Prince is not only a pastor, he is also a scholar and each week, if you watch his television program "Destined to Reign" and read his book with the same title, you will begin to ascertain holistically what the Bible is really all about. After reading this book you will get to know Jesus for who he truly is, "The Messiah!" And you will vividly ascertain how intrinsically connected all the scriptures are to one another. You will discover that Jesus is the simulacrum (the very glue) that brings all of this together because the Old Testament is all about him. It is also about mankind's fall from grace and struggle to win it back even though man has nothing to offer God in return. And yet throughout the 39 books in the Old Testament God shows mercy to the Israelites, while leading them on their quest to claim the promise land and to become the beacon of hope for the rest of the world. Of course the Pharisees and the Sadducees try to obstruct Christ's ministry and they eventually had him assassinated on the cross for political control and pure malice. Unfortunately for them, they became the very catalyst needed to save all of mankind, allowing Jesus' blood and living water to be spilled, becoming the final sacrifice that covered all of our sins, Jews and Gentiles alike. When Jesus sacrificed himself it allowed God to give us Grace and enter the Rest that we so desperately needed in order to achieve everlasting life and enable the earth to return back to normal conditions. Prince points out throughout his book, that Jesus is the "Truth and the Life" and no one can get to the Father (God) except through Him (John 14:6) and this argument holds true even in the Old Testament considering the Ark of the Covenant was the antecedent to Grace and a prosperous future. Joseph Prince teaches straight out of the Bible and uses Paul's letters to demonstrate that we no longer have to live in condemnation because God has invited us to the banquet table to feast on Grace and partake in the Rest (Galatians chapter 4.) By using the New Testament scriptures, Prince, stresses the point that we are no longer under the law, when Christ died and said "It is Finished" (John 19:30) a new chapter in our lives began. Christ's death necessitated eudemonism and rescued all of mankind from the clutches of sin. "Destined to Reign" is a must read book. It will change your perspective about Faith and help guide you through the Bible in the hopes that you will have an intimate relationship with God and get baptized in the Holy Spirit. Joseph Prince you get Five Stars!!!!!!! A must read!

Grace liberates from Fear
One of the most influential books I've read outside of the Bible. Pastor Joseph Prince CLARIFIES what it means to live under Grace without Condemnation. I've been a Christian for 24 years, but while I was saved by Grace (Salvation), I still believed that God would not bless me if I didn't live right. I was afraid that God would be angry with me or punish me if I didn't obey him completely. I tried to convince myself that I was doing "okay" but became self-righteous, looking only for what I did right and ignoring when I messed up. It was pure torture as I wasn't sure if I repented enough or served enough to please God. What a difference when we realize that we have exchanged all our rags of works (even after salvation) for Jesus's pure robe of righteousness. That God is pleased with me and does not punish me when I screw up. Jesus took all condemnation, judgment, and punishment in my place and I no longer have to worry about displeasing God. Even my faith comes from Him and I don't have to work on faith, muster faith, measure whether I'm believing "hard enough." I just have to relax and believe that Faith Comes from Hearing and Hearing by the Word of Christ. So if I hear, hear, hear [read aloud] the Word of Christ (what Jesus did, what Jesus says, who Jesus is), then I will naturally have faith that pleases God. Hallelujah. What a refreshing book to help me truly understand grace. I bought copies of this book to give to my family already. This book is liberation from "religion" and helps come out from underneath a lot of "religious" teachings you get in most churches that focus on what you have to do [after you're saved] to please God.

"The way through Christ to effortless success, wholeness, and victorious living", as taught by Joseph Prince
I cannot think of enough complimentary words to express our joy in discovering Joseph Prince's ministry. My husband found him preaching at 4:00 a.m., December 31st '07, on the ABC Family Channel, and we've anxiously anticipated his daily programs ever since. After watching him for a couple of weeks, we just had to have two copies of Destined to Reign as quickly as possible. Happily, Amazon came through for us immediately. Within a few days, we had the books in hand. We shut everything down possible for a couple of days, and read with delight and hunger. For years, we had sought out the grace message - what it means to be justified by grace through faith - and couldn't get over the wonder of all that Jesus accomplished on the cross for us. And now we found a young minister fully expounding these wonders in fresh and awesome ways to our delight. Once you've tasted, you're always hungry for more; it always seems like a new wonder. Joseph was already the pastor of New Creation Church in Singapore in 1997, and he was already a grace preacher, he thought, when he was confronted by the Lord about his preaching a mixture of law and grace. The Lord confronted him with this statement: "If you don't preach grace radically, people's lives will never be radically blessed and radically transformed." Since that strong mandate, Joseph's church has grown from 2,000 to 16,000. Now he says, "My only endeavor is to preach the same gospel that Paul preached and no other gospel." This reminds me of what I heard that Martin Luther said about reading the Bible. He said that if we don't really lay hold of what Paul is teaching in Romans 1-8, we will misread the rest of the Bible. Destined to Reign is written so that believers may lay hold of the truth as Paul preached it in Romans 1-8, and throughout his writings. Joseph summarized the core of Paul's teaching by choosing Romans 5:17 to launch his book on radical grace. "For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." Wow! what depth, what riches the reader finds in the meanings of "receiving abundance of grace" and "receiving the gift of righteousness" as Joseph unfolds for us in this book. I love the way he so deeply honors God's Word. He's a thorough student of the Word, taking time to seek out the Greek and Hebrew meanings of words, and being taught by the Holy Spirit, he has many precious riches to share in his sermons and writings, clearing up many difficult passages and misinterpretations most Christians have found troubling at times. In the back of the book, he has references to scriptures and other study helps and books to which he has referred. Another very important emphasis of his is that everything must always be read in its context. Now we are anxious to read his book Spiritual Warfare and Live the Let Go Life, plus anything else he's written. Joseph says, "The more you appreciate the finished work of Jesus and all that he has done for you to reign in life, the more you will worship and glorify Him!" We recommend Destined to Reign if you want to have a clearer knowledge of what it means to receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. If you struggle with condemnation, this is a must read. If you want to more fully understand just what did happen at the cross for you, read this book. We hold it as the number one book to share.

LIFE CHANGING!
This book is life changing, thought provoking, and a necessity. If I had to give my children or any persons in my life 1 book to change their life with the Bible, it would be this one. Simply because after you read this, no matter how many times you've read your Bible you can never look at it or God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit the same again.

The works after we accept Christ like serving at Church
Through faith by the GRACE who is Jesus Christ by God we are saved!. Grace is missed by many pastors unfortunately so learning more about that . It is scripturally correct. It makes people aware to stop living by the Old Covenant Law which was REPLACED by God through His Son Jesus Christ with THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE!. I have studied the bible for many years and to re-read again scriptures of Old and New to compare made sense and again scripturally correct. I can claim daily I am forgiven by Grace, that we are the righteousness in Christ as sin is removed from my life. It It also has taught me to change my daily self condemnation and searching every sin from my past which caused me to spiral into depression and feeling mentally and physically ill. This book along with me re-reading scriptures based on Grace, self condemnation the Old Covenant based on works and to stop mixing works with the new covenant of grace. The works after we accept Christ like serving at Church, finding our spiritural gifts, tithing, and witnessing, getting into a bible study group is to continue growing in our love and relationship with Christ which blesses us, everyone around us and ultimately glorify's God. It's a healthy purpose for our soul and life. This book also has helped me to daily just take time to just meditate and FEEL His Love just for me, to make Him my Daddy (Abba) Father which has made me love Him more and understand as my Father, Heavenly Father if anything I ask is in His will, that will not only bless me but others as well to further his Kingdom and Glorify Him that my prayers ARE answered NOT WILL BE because it was done 2,000 years ago. I am just claiming to recieve it based on my new understanding. It helped to reinforce that God is the GIVER through Christ and I am the RECIEVER!. I JUST wish this book was on audio because renewing the mind and reconditioning is so important for the believers growth. Also a workbook based on this book of Grace would be beneficial to pastors, leaders and missionaries. So if Joseph Prince see's this I hope he makes an audio version of this book. Blessings to the Ambassador of Christ Joseph Prince and his family.

I understand the concern, but I believe this book has powerful revelation for victory over sin
Joseph Prince understands that those who keep their minds stayed on God *are kept* in perfect peace. Likewise, the mind set on the Spirit is Life and peace. Joseph Prince thus understands that the root of obedience is a mind set on Christ, conscious of Christ. If your mind is set on Him, you will not in the same moment sin. Rather, you will be kept in perfect peace, you will have Life and peace. And what gives us confidence to set our minds on Him is the gospel. And the Law mixing with grace steals our confidence to set our minds on Him, and the result? Sin. Thus, the root of sin is our eyes taken off of Him. Our eyes coming off of Him is indeed the root of every problem. Joseph Prince has serious revelation on victory over sin. The fact is, many people's understanding of obedience, confessing sin and repentance is corrupted by a requirement to look to self. Indeed, having a poor foundation concerning the Law and the Gospel will skew everything built on it. So Joseph Prince seeks to lay a good foundation so that whatever is built on it is stable and secure, not implicitly compromising the finished work of the cross, thus binding people in the power of sin. So when Joseph Prince is talking about "Son-consciousness" versus "sin-consciousness" he isn't talking about pretending you haven't sinned when you did. He's talking about trusting that the guilt is really removed and the righteousness really imputed, in Christ--eyes on Him, the result being "perfect peace"/freedom from sinful passions. Among Christians, it's the implicit ways we minimize the finished work that keeps us from walking by the Spirit. With our mouth we say, "It is finished!" But with our heart we say, "I'm not forgiven. I am guilty. I need to change first. I need to try harder first." We would never explicitly say, "It must be earned!" But our heart attitudes betray our unbelief. And it is with the heart that man believes! Not with our mouth :) And nothing has power to change the strongholds in our hearts like the Gospel--it is the power of God unto salvation. Saturation in the gospel is a game-plan for serious transformation. When the foundation on Law and Gospel isn't good, Christians can conclude people are teaching it is okay to sin when they say things like, "You are dead to the Law and you are not to focus on your sins." The fact is, much focus on sin can be veiled idolatry of self. We keep looking to ourself for something that can only come from Christ (forgiveness, righteous standing, Life to change)--something that comes dangerously close to, or is, self-worship. So I commend Pastor Prince, even though I can't fully agree with everything I read within the book. The heart of it is good, and will lead people to victory over sin and deeper worship of Christ.
