Obviously it wouldn't work out for a desk of standard height, but it's great for me. It's super comfortable and, try as I might, I can't knock it backwards when I lean or rock back on it. It does tip forward quite a bit if I rock forward, but it still hasn't tipped. It's very firm when I plop onto it, but still incredibly soft. The cover for the chair is incredibly tight fitting on mine, and was a bit of a hassle to get on. The cover itself has a honeycomb pattern to it that I only notice when I'm up close to it, so it isn't as smooth-looking as the picture. The only real neck/head support happens when you curl up on the chair or lean back to lounge, and I can't say anyone above 5 feet (my height) would get that. I use it primarily as a video gaming chair. The weight of the chair is more substantial than you'd expect out of a foam chair, so it really does feel solid when you are sitting in it. My only gripe with the chair would be it would be nice if it had a little higher back rest. I'm a tall guy, so I need to slouch a little for better support.
