Thicker, Less Flexible than Other Blades
These Wilkie's seem "Thicker" than any other blade I've tried. Hold one of these and a Feather or Astra or any other blade in one hand and gently bend it with the other and the thicker Wilkinson Sword blade will not bend as easily as the thinner blades. I'm not sure exactly how that translates into shaving but what I notice is that while it "Feels Safer" while shaving, it won't shave as close or get the troublesome, hard to shave spots nearly as well as the more flexible blades. Perhaps it's not a "Flex vs less Flex" concept but instead a simple "Thick Blade" thing. Like shaving with a KaBar vs a razor blade. The metal is just too thick to shave close.

Balanced sharpness, unbeatable smoothness
I shave my head and face 2-4 times each week and been DE shaving for about two years now. I've tried these, Personna, Feather, and Astra. These are my go-to now, with Feather as a close second. These are the smoothest blades I've tried, but if I can't find time to shave and my hair gets too long, these take too many passes, and I'll then use Feather. Feather is a close second for me, as they're definitely the sharpest and not too abrasive to my sensitive skin. I find Personna too aggressive and won't use them. Astra is comparable to Wilkinson in sharpness, maybe a tad sharper, but not noticeably. I'll take Wilkinson for it's balanced sharpness and unbeatable smoothness.

Derby Extra ousted by these for me. Great blades!
My new favorite. I was pretty set believing the Derby Extra were the best blades for me until I tried these. I had previously tried Feather (too aggressive), Shark (too inconsistent), Merkur and several others in my safety razor. For me, these perform every bit as well as the Derby but last longer. I find I get at least 2-3 extra shaves from a blade. The shave is very close.Having said that, it should be noted that I do not have a heavy beard. I shave 2-3 times a week. This blade has performed well when I have gotten lazy and had to remove a week's worth of growth as well. I have sensitive skin, and these have not caused me any irritation. You should give them a try.

these are the best i've tried so far.
these blades are the best I've tried so far and I've tried several. I got a very comfortable shave. feather blades gave me more nicks. forget derbys. like the other guy said, dump the cartridges. I went and found my old razor I used back in the 70's in basic training. and I use the GEL , I think that makes a big difference also.

My blade preference.
I have 2 different blades that work well for me and this is one of them. I would highly recommend giving this blade a try. Just beware that there are other blades out there marked "Wilkinson Sword" that are a poor blade as I have found. Just make sure they look like the packing in the picture and say "Classic" on them.

I used to purchase these fine blades at Wal-Mart
I used to purchase these fine blades at Wal-Mart, when they discontinued stocking them I went shopping and found them on Amazon. I have been shaving for over 50 years and for a period of time utilized the disposable plastic razors. These blades beat the disposable kind, both in cost and the quality of shave. If you have your old safety razor still in the medicine cabinet, time to put it back in use!

Like any razor
These blades are my go-to. I use them about 2 times and then replace them. Like any razor, if you use them on thick facial hair, they need to be replaced after 1 use. I have sensitive skin, so I switch them out more frequently. You also can't beat the price. Way cheaper than multi-blade razors, and a much closer shave.

Item packaged different then what is pictured
Not what's pictured. Amazon is getting horrible for this reason. One thing is pictured but a different item arrives
