I cannot say enough good things about this gel! My mom gave it to us a while ago when our daughter burned her foot on some hot coals. We put a thick layer on (the directions say apply a thick layer for at least 30 minutes) for an hour or two, and the pain was gone. My neighbor borrowed it for her daughter who had burned her hand in a campfire, and she was in a hot tub the next day. I used it on a burn on my arm from a curling wand, and after a few hours the pain was gone. It is truly amazing stuff! Somehow it draws the heat out of the skin. I have not used it on sunburns (we wear quite a bit of sunscreen at our house), but I'm sure it would work well as long as you apply a thick layer and keep it on for a while.
