i want a trickle charger for a 3.5 litre petrol engine. Can you recommend one please?

I don't see why not, the trickle charging option isn't restricted to the size of the engine... I must say, I've had mine for a while now and it has kept my TT fully charged and ready for action when called upon.

Guessing this in itself isn't a battery? IE it needs to be plugged to the mains to work (not to be kept in a car for middle-of-nowhere emergencies)?

Will this charge a 6v 5ah sealed lead rechargeable battery at between 7.05 & 7.4 volts

I can not answer to it because it never worked for me, I tried but no charge, I borrowed one from a friend who do accident recovery business, battery was more than 83% after full charge, maybe the one I received was faulty
