Do these straps allow doors to stay open and prevent doors from swinging back to close on occupants before driver and passenger can exit vehicle?

It's just a cable cover, how it swings in and out always depends on wind and angle of vehicle. It's basically to keep the door from swinging out and hitting the front quarter panel.

Can these be used on the front doors as well as the rear doors. I have the 4 door unlimited Sahara.

I put one on the driver's door and liked it so much, ended up putting it on the passenger side. I would assume all of the cable lengths are the same on all four doors. There's plenty of extra length in the straps. I also have the Sahara Unlimited.
