421 pages long.Chapters 2 - 7 take up pages 404-421, yet these are probably some of the better pages.You've got girls and boys separating the book in half, and lots of nationalities have been catered for.However, I feel its a bit samey. It has the same name just with different spellings, so half a column on a page is dedicated to one name...

Do not buy unless you looking for some strange names.

This is a great book for anyone who needs to pick out names, whether for a baby, a pet, or characters in a book you're writing. There are Tens of thousands of names here, from modern quirky to old-fashioned classics.The book is arranged in an easy to use manner, making it a snap to find what you're looking for. The two main sections are for boys and girls, each name listing having the name's origin, meaning, and alternate spelling. Plus there are many shortlists toward the front for specific categories, including Mythological.The list of the top 100 names and the top names from around the world are helpful as well.If that wasn't enough, there is also a section about Inspiring baby names from Hindu.I highly recommend this book if you need to come up with some names, or research where yours came from.

I have been fascinated with names since I was in Middle School. I have collected books on them for years. If I had seen this in the store, I would not have purchased it. Just on a random flip I found typos and editing errors; however, that is what you get with self-published books -- a glaring lack of proof reading.
