This is a wonderful prodict Easy to use and it has a great flavor and texture.

Ingredients: organic apples, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), organic cinnamon. That's it! That's all that's in there. And it's delicious. Healthy AND delicious? What a combination! The portion size is just right. I take one of these in my lunch almost every day. It's good both at room temperature or refrigerated. I've tried a lot of apple sauces and this has the best flavor and texture I've found. My local store stopped carrying this brand, so I now buy it in bulk. The "use by" date is almost always a year out, so I don't worry about having too many on hand at a time. Stock up! It's a tasty treat for snack, dessert, or lunch.

This applesauce is great for my kids lunches. They love the flavor, I like that it's organic. I gave the applesauce itself a 5 star rating. Now, the price could be lower (still cheaper than my grocery store), and the packaging and shipping could be much better. I had to stop ordering this because when they would arrive, many would be damaged and leaking.

We returned this item because after opening and trying one cup it tasted weird. My husband and I tried it after my son said something was wrong with it. It almost tasted like alcohol was in it (I know it isn't,but that's the best way to describe it). It was like it has fermented. I usually don't purchase food items but our local stores don't carry many options for organic applesauce. Since apples are on the dirty dozen food list I try to get organic apple products.

The plastic jars are made with recycle plastic "#3" (which you can barely find on the jar) which is used to make food wrap, plumbing pipes, and detergent bottles, and is seldom accepted by curbside recycling programs. These plastics used to, and still may, contain phthalates, which are linked to numerous health issues ranging from developmental problems to miscarriages. They also contain DEHA, which can be carcinogenic with long-term exposure. DEHA has also been linked to loss of bone mass and liver problems.And the shape of the jar has so many deep bumps that a few tablespoons get wasted because it can't be scraped out.The sauce is great and we used to buy tons of it when it was easy to get in the old glass jars.

This applesauce is delicious, none better except home made and that's a lot of work. I like the single servings, I put a couple in my small fridge in the evening and they are perfect for my breakfast in the morning. It's like fresh apples but nothing to bite, perfect for some without teeth, me. I love this applesauce and I can use my EBT card to pay for it which is a helpful bonus.
