Excellent spinners for all sorts of fish, especially trout and salmon
Blue Fox spinners are amongst my favorites for trout and salmon...fish gulp these down with very little hesitation. Throw the right color/size in the right conditions and you never know what's on the line until you reel it in, as all types of fish go for these spinners. These spinners generate sound underwater in addition to sporting some nice flash...remember to reel in slowly against the current (upstream) to get the best action on the spinner blade if you're fishing in a river or stream.I strongly recommend removing the treble hook and replacing it with a single hook of your own (such as a Gamakatsu Siwash), or the single hook provided by Blue Fox (in the larger sized spinners) is just fine. The single hooks tend to get a stronger hookset on the fish and do less damage to the fish which is important if you're catching and releasing. Single hooks are also far less likely to get snagged up on rocks and weeds compared to trebles. Hopefully lure companies will someday use single hooks as their standard, rather than trebles. For whatever reason lures sold to the US market come standard with trebles even though treble hooks might be prohibited by local fishing regs. Check your local fishing regs to make sure the hook you're using is legal before you cast.Blue Fox spinners are some of the best and you can't go wrong with them. I find myself buying new ones quite often (mostly thanks to snags) but I have had great luck fishing these lures and they're my go-to spinner in just about every fishing situation.
