Will this work on Colman Powermate 5000?

It fit on my Duramax XP4400. I took the carb off my gen and compared the bolt hook up pattern to that of my carb. Looked the same and looked like there was room for it to fit in the space of the old carb. So bought knowing I could send it back if it didn't work. It worked fine with propane bottle regulator hookup. Some of those have fixed orifice sizes so I got a variable flow regulator to be sure I could get the propane delivery flow to the engine right. Hope it helps.

How long should i push the purge button in the center of the regulator?

3 or four seconds most of the time. I can smell propane if held any longer.
