Can a drawer using this slide be removed completely without unscrewing the slide?

Absolutely. There are little release levers on each side. Just push them in and out she comes.

How much weight can this support?

I used them for night stand drawers so it was a dimensional fit. They are in commercial packaging so there's no info or instructions

I am considering using for pull-out shelf; not drawer. will this work? also, need diagram w/ all hdwre dimensions incl cabinet clearances

It will work if you attach sides and a front piece all at least 1 3/4” high. You will attach the slides to the side pieces and the front piece will cover the end of the slides. The total width of the shelf and sides will be 1” less than the opening to allow 1/2” for each slide. The front piece will be slightly less than the opening.
