Makes a difference
Before I begin, it's important to note that I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis many years ago. For those who may be unaware, the long story short on this condition (for me) is that my scalp drives me crazy at times. It has itched and I have scratched until it bled, and my shoulders will often, with little to no actual interaction with my scalp, be completely covered in flakes. I have tried many different shampoos, including some prescription shampoos, with no impact on the condition. In reality, I had given up on it by this point in my life. Some battles are just not worth fighting.Recently, I decided to make some lifestyle changes, and in the middle of that, I thought, "Let's just see what is out there now." I searched around and found this product. Of course I was skeptical - there are only so many different ways you can try to fix something before you become discouraged. I read a few reviews and decided to give it a shot.I am glad that I did. Full disclosure, I also purchased a scalp massager and another one of Maple Hollistic's products (Pure18) to try to improve my overall scalp/hair health. I followed the directions exactly for each product. For the shampoo, it says to massage it into the scalp and leave for 2-3 minutes, then rinse and repeat. I used my fingers to spread it around, and then the massager to make sure that it got down into my scalp. After a few days of this process, I started noticing a difference. And now after 3 weeks, I can say officially that this product has made a difference. Are the flakes gone completely? No, they aren't, and I would never expect that they would be. The amount that I find on my shoulder has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. Almost to the point of it being able to be disguised as something else, like ceiling tile dust or something kid-related. Does my scalp still itch? Sure it does. But when I scratch it no longer covers my shoulders with flakes. The itching is also less severe.A few things that I wouldn't call negative but are worth noting. First, this shampoo contains tea tree oil. If you have never smelled anything with tea tree oil, I implore you to go to a salon, beauty supply shop, etc. before buying this product. To my nose, it sticks out the most. I rather enjoy it, but some folks may not and it's worth testing it out before you buy. Second, it (along with the Pure18 conditioner I mentioned earlier) added a few minutes to my shower time. As I said, I followed the directions exactly, and washing my hair twice, while leaving the product on my scalp to marinate for a few minutes both times, is not something that used to be part of my shower process. Totally worth it; I just didn't read the directions before purchasing, and figured I would point it out.All in all, I totally recommend trying this product. I do not believe there is a magic bullet for the condition, and everyone's scalp is not the same, so it may not work for you the same way it worked for me. Give it a shot; you won't know until you try.

I’m so happy, I might cry!
I have had plaque psoriasis (aka seborrhea) for almost my entire life. It has been the bane of my existence and I have never been able to find any shampoo that would make it go away. Ive taken all kinds of medicated shampoos prescribed by dermatologists. This is the first time I have found a shampoo that actually has made it go away for the most part. No dandruff and no sticky plaque on my head. My scalp is so happy and my hair is growing! I am so thankful that I found this shampoo, with assistance from Chat GPT.To confirm, I did use this shampoo with the combination of Maple conditioner and followed the instructions on the bottle. I think it is very important to leave it in your hair as long as the bottle suggests.Additionally I have been using this shampoo for the last week or so. I am curious about the long term results of this shampoo.

Follow the directions, and the rest is a ride in the wonderous domain of sage oil.
Full disclosure, I am not a hair professional. My hair is dark brown and of the wavy type. I had my hair buzzed off and then bleached in 2015 , then dyed a few months afterwards. Haven't done anything else to it since then. But when my dark hair did grow back, to my dismay, the frizz I had since my dweeb years in high school had also made a triumphant return. And I hated it.But having grown up in the age of information, I understood what has been made clear to us as the consumers. That, in many cases, our selection for cheap solutions come at a costly price to our bodies. Through one of these many health revelations, as a young American consumer becoming health conscious, I concluded that maybe my frizz problem could be attributed to the ingredients used for cheaper alternatives.I've since then made many changes to my life, including my diet, which led me to update many of my hygiene products to more "natural" substitutes, packaged in convenient plastic solutions. All attainable within my budget, of course. So, it's not the heaven-sent correspondence to my daily struggles, but we work with what we got. And I don't got a lot.I decided I would explore deep in the amazon for options that would more or less leave my hair nice for as long as possible in between washes, which also meant that I was looking for quality shampoo with healthier ingredients that wouldn't damage my scalp or hair... at least, according to my very limited knowledge on the science of hair maintenance. And the good news is that I am content with this one. I first bought a bottle 5 months ago, and I still have a bit left over in the bottle for another 4 or 6 uses. With this shampoo I wash my hair twice a week, and even on the day I set up for a lather, my hair isn't a greasy monstrosity as it was prior to switching to Sage. My head would just start to get noticeably oily when I rearranged the strands from their set positions, but otherwise harmless and nice enough to go for a coffee in public. However, I have been exercising more rigorously in the warmer season of California's June days, so I do try and uphold the two-days-a-week system.I kept it easy and simple, following the painless directions printed on the label since day one. The strong minty scent from the oils are pleasant to me, likely due to my taste for minty scents and flavors like dark chocolate peppermint ice cream... I understand that not all are delighted with the keen fragrance of mint-like products, but perhaps you will find that creating a new custom with a pleasant outlook can maybe, possibly, teach your senses to tolerate certain, fierce, aromas. It's all up to the individual, but I digress.Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I do feel refreshed after a good lather with this stuff. I admit, I find deep satisfaction within the brief time I use to thoroughly massage my head after a long day; basking in the mixed scents of sage, rosemary, tree tea, and the rest of the oil assortment that were aptly blended into the silvery, white goo. This is some pretty good stuff.
