Medela Manual breast pump with Flex Shields Harmony Single Hand for More Comfort and Expressing More Milk

I started to have clogged ducts that eventually and surely will become mastitis. I was also so pissed off at my momcozy S12 as it was leaking at bottom on milk collector cover while I was pumping only 1-2ml out!!! Seriously when you are trying to save every drop of that liquid gold, and the pump fails you, you'll understand the feeling of "crying over spilled milk." I went on reddit to read comments and someone suggested to try medela hand pump. Totally hands down for this awesome product. It fixes my clogged ducts and pulls quadruple amount of milk I thought I was able to pump, aka from 25ml to 100ml both boobs (I had c section, on 4th day of pumping journey). Pump and massage your boobs to max out guys! Highly recommended! Even more convenient when there are only 5 hard durable plastic parts to assemble instead of 10 soft flimsy parts that wear out in 3 uses.I'll buy the medela plug-in pump later when I produce more as I have all parts from my hospital to take home. Just gotta plug into the pump.

I usually do not write use reviews on Amazon, but this product is really a saver. I wish I had noticed from the beginning. I have been struggling with bumps for five months. I have momcozy m6, the medela freestyle and babyboudha all I had to use them for 30 minutes. But this manual device gave me the same amount in only five - 10 minutes!!!!!!, literally only five minutes on each side to get the same amount that I get with the fancy expensive electric bumps. I can use it while traveling in flights, car anywhere. More over perfect during meetings as it has no sound.

WOW! I don't think I've ever written a review on Amazon, but this pump is worth it. As a brand new mom, my baby went in for his 1 week check up, and our pediatrician told us she wanted us to start using formula in addition to breast feeding to boost his weight gain. She said I could pump, but that was a lot of work.Of course I wanted my baby to have my breast milk vs. formula, so I began using my far more expensive, electric pump. It was disheartening to see how little I was producing, and after 30 minutes of the electric pump, I wasn't completely empty, but was also only producing little droplets.My fiancé said he saw somewhere that manual pumps have been getting great reviews lately, so I decided to order this one on a whim. I was so beyond impressed the first time I used it, I was laughing with joy. You can literally see your milk jet-streaming (idk how else to describe it) out of your boobs, and this pump completely emptied me in under 10-15 minutes. I got 2 ounces the first try, compared to the 0.5 ounce I usually get with the electric pump.Another pro is that you can take this pump anywhere. It's small, easy to assemble, has only a few parts to put together vs. a machine/battery pack, and is so much quicker. I couldn't imagine being out and having to be attached to a machine for 30+ minutes. The convenience alone makes this product such a win.If you're an under-producer, or you're thinking about giving up on your breast feeding/pumping journey because your baby isn't getting enough - try this pump first!

I’ve never in my life written a product review. This little thing is amazing. It’s so much more convenient than the machine pumps - I have the medela sonata pump (a hand-me-down) and this little hand held one is so much more efficient. Instead of feeling like I’m hooked up to an IV with all of the tubes, I can easily stop pumping to tend to my little one when needed. What takes me 15 minutes with the machine pump took me 5 with this one even though I had to pump each breast one at a time. An absolute must for breastfeeding mothers.

The hand pump is very convenient when I go to the gym or when my baby only nursed on one side. I can quickly express milk to equally and efficiently empty my breast. Because I have a fast flow, I can easily express 2-3 oz from both sides with 10 mins combined. And I can control how long/strong the suction to be by long holding the handle. I would love to give a five-star review until this happened. As I was transporting from gym to home, I put the pump on my lap and it tilted with a little angle. I thought it’d be fine until I suddenly felt wet on my pants and then realized the milk leaked through the pump part. I didn’t bring the cap with me cuz I thought I wouldn’t need to and I thought the seal would be tight anyway. Got frustrated over spilled milk so I took one star off. Maybe make sure the pump also seal tight as the cap, it would be better.

My baby is in the NICU so pumping has been the only way I can get her what she needs. I am one month postpartum and about 2 weeks ago, my pumps were going from 4oz down to half an ounce. I was skeptical of what I was getting out from my electric pumps and really felt like there was more than what was coming out. Using this manual pump once got out 3 ½ oz. SO pleased with this pump!

I absolutely love the Medela Harmony manual pump! It’s quiet, easy to use, and perfect for quick pump sessions on the go. The Flex Shields make it super comfortable, and I get great output in less time than with my electric pump. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and fits right in my bag. A must-have for any breastfeeding mom!

Worked well the first few times I used it. It helps empty me. I find it better to pump after breastfeeding to empty my breast, or pump for a few minutes when I'm engorged, so my baby doesn't choke on the milk. Giving it 4 stars because the more I use it, the less it empties me. One thing for sure is that this helped increase my milk supply. I got it because my milk supply dropped, after using this for a week instead of the electric, my milk supply increased. I don't use it as often anymore, only whenit'ss the only one I have clean and when my milk supply drops. It's something that every breastfeeding mom should have available. Also, the container holds about 5 oz I fill it up and then pour it into another container, but I heard you can attach any bottle that is larger and fits. I haven't tried it yet.
