GREAT safe and easy to flip a Spanish tortilla!!
TIP: Start with the pan that has the smaller ring at the end and then attach the pan with the larger ring for the flip. It makes getting the top pan off after the flip easier and less mess. Also be sure to heat the second pan before putting them together for the flip. Last year I discovered the Spanish tortilla and my family loved them! I’ve made them about 7 times, 2 at a time; so 14 total…but all instructions on the internet I’ve seen show flipping the Spanish tortilla to cook the other side by holding a large plate over the frying pan, with is barely larger than a 9.5” frying pan, and has proven difficult! My daughter asked me to make them this week, and I didn’t hold the plate correctly and quick on the flip, and my Spanish tortilla went into the sink…(attached picture). That’s the 3rd one out of 14 that I’ve completely ruined and wasted!! Sooo frustrated, I got on Amazon wondering if anyone makes something to help flip food like this, and to my surprise I found this product! It’s a Cuisinart! It’s well made with bolts through the pan and perfectly non-stick so no sticking to the top pan after the flip! Today I made two Spanish tortillas with these pans and flipping it was so easy, and safe! No worry about the plate slipping, or getting burned touching the hot pan, or having hot food hit my arm. These are a MUST when making Spanish tortillas!! Absolutely love this Cuisinart pan set!!

BUY THIS PAN!!
I'm a kitchen gadget nut. But so often, I'm either disappointed with my purchase or find that a gadget takes up too much real estate in my kitchen for how useful it is. Not the case with this pan. I love it. I've owned it for about 8 months now and I highly recommend you buy this pan. I'm not sure who at Cuisinart designed it but they need a promotion. The pan rims interlock perfectly and the handles are ergonomically designed to fit together and fit roundly in your hand when you flip. The nonstick cover hasn't degraded at all in the time that I've had it...and it literally makes a lovely omelette, perfectly even and cooked through. It conducts the heat extremely well and the pans fit together nice and tight for fritattas. The only thing I've noticed is that if there's a lot of liquid in the pan, when you flip it, if you're not gripping it very tight, you can get a little liquid out of the sides. Easily fixed by either gripping the pan tightly or if you're worried about it, flip it over the sink. Its maybe happened twice that I've noticed a couple little drops out of the pan on my stove when I'm flipping it and not gripping the handle tight. Otherwise, this is a DEFINITE purchase....this pan is the bomb. I love that I can use both pans for regular pans when I'm not making eggs...they are the perfect size to fit on a medium burner and they're nice and deep. Thank you Cuisinart...keep designing stuff like this.

Love this thing!
My dad was stationed in Spain many years ago and Spanish omelettes were one of his favorite things. He says that used to eat them cold, like a piece of pizza. I tried making them in the past and although he loves them, they were a real pain because the process was so messy. Sliding a partially cooked omelette out of a pan with runny eggs at the top and then trying to flip it over into the pan to cook the other half was a hassle. Enter this contraption. I preheated both pans on the stove side by side, using a medium temperature, because they heat up pretty quickly and get really hot. I caramelized my onions in about a tablespoon of oil in the bottom pan, and instead of frying the potatoes in so much oil like the traditional recipe calls for, I microwaved them for a few minutes less than was needed so they were still on the firm side. I then sliced the potatoes and laid them in the pan with the onions, and added a few handfuls of sauteed spinach, chopped broccoli, and some mushrooms. I then poured the beaten eggs over the top and seasoned it, waited a few minutes, attached the top pan, flipped it over, and then gave it about another 4 or 5 minutes. It slid out of the pan beautifully and onto the serving platter. It was awesome and delicious. I also really appreciate the fact that it needs so little oil and it's truly non-stick, because we are definitely trying to eat healthier. With all the vegetables, it was really filling and will make great leftovers. Overall, if you like omelettes, frittatas, or Spanish omelettes, you definitely need to try this. You can also use each pan separately, like a 10-inch frying pan. I'm going to try to make the caramel apple pancake in it this weekend. Can't wait!

Great product
At the beginning, I was not very sure about its functionality, but I already know they perform excellently. Just make sure to put a very thin layer of oil on the pans, very thin, I do recommend an oil spray, I bought one at Costco. If you don’t put any oil it will stick, but if you put too much it will spill out creating a mess. I learned that with my first tortilla, the second, just by adding a thin layer of oil in both pans, very thin, it was perfect and no mess at all. I just bought it, so I cannot talk about durability. I do recommend this product.

Perfect for Spanish tortilla de patatas
Overall a good set of pans and can be used separately which should be obvious. Being "Cusinart", I expected them to be a bit heavier... The gauge, thickness of the base metal is thinner than I would prefer.

I’m So Happy
I’ve been making frittatas all my adult life. I started out using a plate to flip the frittata (just like my mother)...sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Then I bought a very expensive frittata pan set...and gave it away just to get it out of my kitchen. Then I bought this set. Nobody is getting it from me! Made the BEST and PRETTIEST potato, bacon, and sausage frittata I’ve ever made! Sautéed shallot and garlic in one pan. Browned the meat in the other pan. Put it all together in the bottom pan. Flipped it with the top pan on. Perfection. No sticking. No mess. Super easy to use. Super easy to clean. AND the red is so pretty. Such a great set for a terrific price!

Perfect frittata pan
For the price point it is exactly what I wanted. It allows you to make frittata’s omelettes you name it without making a super mess in the kitchen when you flip. It cleans up easily you don’t even need oil. I can’t say how long it will hold up but for the price if I get a year out of it I’ll be OK
