As a BBQ person, I love this and use a lot. I used over half of year it still easy cleaning and shape is good. Size is big and perfect to use with brisket and lips. I like it!

Great for slow roasting and smoking ribs and chicken. Use charcoal chimney and pour into basket. Water will heat and keep meat moist, easy to refill. Can add wood for smoking. Great results.

Tried this out today with amazing results. Was easy to hold temp right around 250 for many hours. The water pan section works very well keeping my protein very moist. Everyone was very pleased with the smoked chuck roast I smoked and the build quality is unmatched. Very well made. Durable affordable and quality 👌

I like it, but it could use bigger holes in the bottom. While using the low and slow method, the degraded charcoal ended up blocking the holes a and the temp was hard to regulate. The more coals you added just closed the holes with the charcoal dust. Otherwise, I like it. It's a heavy unit and looks like it'll hold up a long time. Functions almost as it should. It just needs bigger holes. Cleaning is a snap as well.

Sturdy is an understatement with this basket. It is thick, heavy and strong. The water reservoir is a feature you won’t find with some of the less expensive brand offerings making it more versatile with various cooking methods. Easy to use and great design make it well worth the money.

Perfect for two sone cooking

I have used this item many times since I purchased it and it does exactly what was described. Once the temperature settles down, it provides a steady cook requiring little attention. My only complaint is that is the ash builds up on the bottom of the briquette chamber which tends to choke the embers. That is manageable, but once it's necessary to add more charcoal, you have to ensure you spread the ash and clear the holes.

If you don't need the luxury of a removable water reservoir, then this is the one for you to use with your Weber or other 22" charcoal kettle grill. Well made of heavy gauge steel, welds looks sturdy. Looking forward to see how it does when I smoke brisket. I think the perimeter water reservoir may be superior to the one running straight down the middle. Guess I'll find out soon.

Obviously this design is somewhat based on another product that many BBQ people are familiar with, so however you feel about that... That being said it works extremely well. Construction is solid, welds look good, and couldn't be easier to use...you just fill the reservoir with water, fill it with charcoal and off you go. Fully loaded, it can run for 4+ hours (likely 6 in optimal conditions) with no maintenance at all. I leave mine in my kettle basically all the time, and it's useful for both smoking and searing (which is the idea of course). Absolutely worth the money and will likely be a staple in your kettle. Will likely pay for itself in under 2 years just in charcoal you don't have to buy, as it's extremely efficient. UPDATE: Purchased April 2020, it is now January 2022. Has worked flawlessly. Have over 50 cooks on this and it works as good as the day I bought it. Does a really great job of keeping your charcoal consistent and efficient, while also shielding your kettle from the direct heat of charcoal leaning against the outside walls. Absolutely worth the money and more. This this is like the price of 3 bags of charcoal and will last you years, along with making your cooks easier. No brainer. UPDATE TO UPDATE: September 2023. No disrespect to the Slow N Sear people, but this is just as good for a third the price. If you're even remotely considering this product, consider no longer and just buy it. You will not regret this purchase.

Works fairly well and much less than the real thing. High quality materials and you can tell its made well. Works excellent for searing, for low n skow it works but there are a few things to keep in mind. Holes at the bottom are small so ash tends to build up and it will eventually (4 hrs or so) cause you to have to adjust vent settings to maintain temp. Water in the reservoir tends to evaporate so you may have to refill. That being said I've gotten an 8 hour smoke with several coals left over. My experience has been this is more convenient and and easier for low n slow but requires more babysitting than the snake method. All in all its well made and excellent for searing and a pretty good option (especially 4 hrs or less) for low n slow.

I wanted the original Slow n Sear but settled for this product which was less than half price. It works well and sears a lot better than the charcoal baskets. It is thick gauge steel, 2 - 3 times thicker than the flimsy Weber charcoal baskets. It is not necessary to have, but it is a nice addition to a kettle grill. It also fits my Napoleon kettle grill which is great because almost accessories made by third parties are designed for the Weber and mostly do not fit the Napoleon.

Haven't used yet but looks very well built, heavy duty and great quality. Fits is 22" Weber kettle perfectly.
