It's flexible, not overly thick or stiff...Perfect!
Dexter-Russel is the chef's choice. These are perfect for Iron Skillet cooking or restaurant-style flat-griddle stoves. Testing: The handle is made from quality Natural Rosewood handles, with brass rivets. The blade is SS and is the correct thickness. Not too thin, not to thick, perfectly flexible. Pros: Professional grade, properly designed, will last a lifetime if taken care of. Available in multiple sizes. The 4x2.5" is perfect for skillet work, and flipping eggs. The larger size is for larger stovetops or flipping pancakes. I mostly use the 4x2.5" size. Cons: Pricey but worth it, you won't be returning it. Cheers!

Superb turner!
Nice sized turner suitable for a variety of cooking tasks besides pancakes. Works great in my 10.25" cast iron skillet for burgers, eggs, or stir fry. Stiff enough to be used as a chopper for meats and veggies provided you don't go overboard. Made from stainless steel, wooden handle, and made in USA. To me, it doesn't get any better than that. The only health consequence I have to worry about is my cooking instead of potential hazards from plastics or Chinese cookware.

Not as flexible as thought.
I have an old turner that looked exactly like this which belonged to my mom. I use it CONSTANTLY because it is so flexible. You can put it down the side of a casserole or cake, and it will flex to slide under the piece and lift it out without tearing. When I read the reviews of this I thought it was as flexible as my old one, but when it arrived I was sadly disappointed to find it much heavier and not nearly as flexible. โน๏ธ It was about three times as thick as the old one. Great for lasting effects, not so good for flexibility. It was also quite a bit longer and a tad wider than the old one, despite the measurements given matching. This is a good, heavy turner which I am sure will last for a lot of years if properly cared for. Alas, mine went back since the #1 reason I wanted another one was for the flexibility that makes it so useful to me. While it does have some give to it, it just wasnโt nearly as much as I was looking for.

Pricey... oof. But the best spatula you'll own. ever.
Like everyone else, we use cast iron these days. Our plastic spatulas just weren't cutting it. I wanted a quality product make here in the USA and that's what I got. This is my favorite spatula and worth every dime. "Favorite spatula"... Seriously? - YES - I enjoy using it... it makes neat metallic noises, it pushes, it pulls, it scrapes, it flips... and I reckon it'll do it for the next thirty years. Buy one. Get that 'favorite spatula' feeling when you cook.

Can't believe I'm writing review for spatula, 5 yrs of use and its 2nd most use tool in my kitchen
What am I even doing writing a review for a spatula? It's the second most used kitchen tool in my house after my Dexter-Russell Chinese Chef's knife. I didn't order because of brand name, both items were recommend separately. I use this spatula in cast iron and carbon steel pans ranging from 8 - 12". Feels great in the hand. I use it to scrap my pans after cooking. I scrape them very aggressively with a lot of force and after 5 years of heavy daily use and scraping my pans, the metal broke at the handle from being overly flexed. I didn't waste any time and re-ordered a new one. This failed because I use this not as designed. I could hold it differently to reduce any chance of flex while scraping heavily or take it easy, but why? It's a freakin tool not a collectable.
