Heating it for 45 seconds does make it warm & lasts for about 15 mins . So nuke it for another 15 seconds & you should be good for another 15 mins It is a little heavy but it adjusts well to the neck & shoulder so to target the heat where needed . They've attached Velcro so that it can be secured & not fall off . I'm use to the clay heat & cold ones that seem to hold the heat longer . I gave 4 stars because I've only used it twice & need to try it more . It would probably work great with moist heat as long as IT is not gotten wet . So I wonder if it can be moistened before usage .
