This product does work very well but is not for everyone. If your nails are weak or damaged from removing acrylic or other harsh nail products, the pain of the formaldehyde hardening your nails will be worse. I highly recommend following the instructions on the box which specify to put it on half the nail with limited frequency.. two coats will increase your chance of experiencing burning/aching. For those wondering what this pain is that everyone refers to: I would best describe it as feeling like you jammed your finger in a door.

BE CAREFUL FORMALDEHYDE!!!I’ve got this product over a year ago and have to confess I’ve used once or twice. Every time I use it I’ve felt a burning and painful sensation on my fingers and nail and thought maybe it’s the hardening process going on. It’s just now I’ve read the components and an aha moment: last ingredient listed is FORMALDEHYDE. It’s really bad for you, just Google it. It even says it causes cancer.It’s too bad since this was expensive and I literally have the bottle almost full, I hate to waste my money, but I have cancer cases in my family so I’m just tossing this product so I’m not increasing my risks.I wish Amazon had a better policy (if there’s any) in banning these kind of products, I can’t imagine FDA approving any products with formaldehyde in the formula but still it’s sill here to sell.

Not sure about this product. I applied carefully: staying away from cuticles after reading reviews about burning. (Product label says it can irritate skin.) This burn is not from skin contact. It’s a very deep, pulsing, almost nerve pain that shoots down your knuckle and comes in waves. Almost like I had smashed my finger?? Or like painful teeth whitening strips? And it was only SOME of my fingers that “burned”. I had to remove after the first attempt.Second attempt I applied to just 1 finger and closely monitored. Shooting pain came in frequent waves for a little over 30 minutes and the infrequently for another 30. Applied to thumbs: no pain. Very strange.

About 2 years ago I incorporated it into my nail regimen and my nails were so long and strong that people thought it was acrylic. Due to COVID-19 I was unable to go to my normal nail tech and (temp lost my mind) and got acrylics. Well of course they ate away at my beautiful nails. However, with this product I know I will get back on track immediately. I know people claim to have a burning sensation but I don’t recall ever having any pain( even now while I barely have any nails)I will update you guys in about a month of use.

If you keep this on your nails all the time, they will grow.And my nails are notorious for breaking off the minute theyget a bit of length.I didn't have a burning or painful sensation.I've bought this several times.

For the reviews that mention mild discomfort, that is simply false.No matter what I do, whether it’s being sure to not touch the sides or cuticles of my nails, or coating around my nail with something to deter the product from touching my hands, the pain is intense.I can’t imagine anything that is good for your body causing this much pain and I have a very high tolerance for it. And it’s not simply just pain, the swelling makes me unable to use my hands for nearly 30 minutes at time. My entire fingertip becomes red, swollen, and extends to further knuckles. The pain feels deep, intense, and sharp, nearly like something is digging into your fingers but burning at the same time. Oh, and nothing stops the pain/swelling either. So be prepared to just deal with it.I won’t be buying this again, there are plenty of great products out there besides this one. Simply can’t be good or healthy for anyone to use.

It burns really bad!!

This is the first nail hardener that I have found that does actually work. Delivery takes a long time but the product is worth the price and time. Have been using this for almost two years and highly recommend it.
