Lantana Chef Knife Sharpener, Soft Grip 3-Stage Professional Knife Sharpening System (for Ceramic and Steel Knives of All Sizes), Black

I purchased this sharpener specifically to sharpen several ceramic knives and it was one of the few that had a slot designated for ceramic. I read the directions carefully and after sliding my ceramic knife several times through the slot my knife it no longer has a smooth edge, the sharpener wore off the original edge on the knife and now it is too dull that it is hard to slice through a tomato. I cut fruits and vegetables everyday because we don't eat meat and I wanted my knives to be super sharp, this sharpener was a bad idea and I'm worried to use it on any of my other knives. It made my expensive ceramic knife that originally could cut a tomato with no pressure nearly worthless to use.

Maybe not a miracle worker, but really very good. It did NOT ruin any of my Wusthof blades, but after 4-5 swipes, brought them back to very sharp and honed them quite well. Does the sharpened blade cut through my body hair like a razor would? No. But it goes through thick-skinned lemons and easily cuts tomatoes. At this point, not sure of how frequently my assorted knives will need to be resharpened, but for now, am completely satisfied with these quick results.

I bought this for my wife to sharpen her Ceramic knives. I read the other reviews and made sure she knew where the ceramic sharpeners were.So far all is well, and she is very happy to have a sharp knife again.And all my steel blades have a nice sharp edge as well.Thanks.The only improvement they could make is to change how they label the cutters. The light etching is hard to see.

Outstanding, bought a a/c powered sharpener for around $100, never pleased with the results of that sharpening.Tried this in desperation, every time my knives became dull I would purchase a new one. "Have a lot of knives"The Lantana Chef Knife Sharpener works very well and is easy to use. .

Only had this for a week, but it seems to work as advertised. The ceramic knife sharpener slot required many passes to put a decent edge on it. The sharpener did a good job on my steel Henckel knives. Over-all, good sharpener for the price.Note: I did not receive any compensation for my review.

It works just like a knife sharpener should. It won't bring a dull blade back to life but it will keep a sharp blade pretty darn sharp. As an added benefit it is comfortable to use. I have no reason not to recommend this.

I can't seem to get this to work right. It might be that I'm an old fashioned stone guy. My intent was this to be a quick touch up tool that's fast and easy but like I said I can't get it to produce an edge to save my soul.
