So, I did some research and found Lavender x Intermedia Phenomenal has the highest survival rate in our climate zone, together with the sensational variety. It is still a gamble, but so far the lavenders are doing great, they seem to grow steadily and smell absolutely divine. They are small 4 inch pots and plants and will probably take 1 or 2 years to mature. 17 of 18 are healthy and doing well, one unfortunately didn't make it. However, the customer service is absolutely amazing and fixed the issue with me.

We live in Texas and I want lavender. If you ask any garden center employee around here, they will tell you lavender doesn't like Texas and also lavender thrives in neglect. So, I did some research and found Lavender x Intermedia Phenomenal has the highest survival rate in our climate zone, together with the sensational variety. It is still a gamble, but so far the lavenders are doing great, they seem to grow steadily and smell absolutely divine. They are small 4 inch pots and plants and will probably take 1 or 2 years to mature. 17 of 18 are healthy and doing well, one unfortunately didn't make it. However, the customer service is absolutely amazing and fixed the issue with me.
