First time purchasing this kind of flour. Liked it and will buy it again. Found it will hold you longer than wheat flour to get you though the day.

Bread rises very well, however, is rather crumbly used half n half with wheat, and used in thirds adding rye. Makes good milk gravy, and as thickener for sauces. Not sure about biscuits, but suspect will require other flour(s) mixed in with it.

I've gotta use flour with a lower glycemic index, and this fits the bill! I'll keep yall in the loop after my next bloodwork lol. Taste and texture is great. It's grittier than all-purpose flour (as expected), and I personally really like the more well rounded flavor. We've made cakes, cookies, breads, and so on with this stuff, and it turns out great. My lady and I would just be using it 1 to 1 with other flour types. It turns out a little different, but the result has always been wonderful.

excellent product, I wanted to try making "barley cakes" as mentioned in the Bible when Jesus feeds the 5,000 after he gave the sermon on the mount. I used "authentic" ingredients such as honey with this flour. It turned out just fine -- but unexciting to our modern palates. It tasted like very plain biscuits that I dressed up with homemade jam.
