My ten year old but not heavily used Maytag stopped watching and gave me error codes. When I looked at the cost to get a repairman out for what appeared to be the motor control board I found a few You Tube guides on how to replace it and figured it was worth a try. The part came from Amazon in a day.I was surprised that the hardest part about doing this was getting my washer pulled out enough to access the back of the machine. This replacement was really easy, I could see the burn spot on the old motor control unit when I pulled it out. It's a month later and the washer still works just fine. Definitely worth the effort and saved me quite a bit.

After 12 years the original board with part number: W10245123 had a few components on it go bad giving me error codes F06/E02. Might have been a result of the plugged drain filter which I did not know about until I disassembled my washer. After looking for a replacement part on Whirlpools parts website it noted that this was the direct replacement to the old part. Whirlpool direct wanted almost double the price as this one, so I took a chance. The new part was totally identical to the prior so installation was a breeze (if you know how to work on your own washer, if not, watch a video on it, that's what I did) and it's working perfectly again!

Went online first and searched how to diagnose my front load washer that was giving a front display of "your washer is experiencing problems". Doing that, I found an article on how to place the washer in diagnostics mode. Once in that, I selected "list error codes". There were several but the main one was, F6E1, "CCU-MCV Serial Comm Failure". Doing another search online I found that typically it indicated a Motor Control Board Failure. Went to another source I use and searched my washer model number and under that found the Motor Control Board. Kind of a spendy part but still cheaper than a new washer. Doing a search online for the board part yeilded that Amazon had it much cheaper so I ordered it on Friday and was delivered on Monday. During this time period I went online again and found a video describing this repair with the same washer as I had. Removed the board, cleaned up the internal spaces of the washer and waited for the part to come in. When the part arrived, I cleaned all of the connections per the manufacturers directions with electronic parts cleaner, Installed the board, re-installed the rear panel of the washing machine and moved back into place. Washer is good as new. Total time to repair about an hour online and time to replace board. The manufacturer also gave a return label to recycle the old board which is convenient.

We were getting an F06 and E01 error on our Whirlpool washer. I looked up the codes on the internet and found that the problem was either the main control unit or the motor control unit. The service repairman quoted me $750 to fix. I figured that wasn't worth it. I could buy a new one for $1000. Then I decided to see if I could fix myself. I opened the back of the washer and easily found the motor control unit on the left side in the back. I took a picture of the wire connections before taking it out. You just need to slide the box toward the back of the washer for it to come out. I noticed a burn mark on the circuit board so I figured that was the problem. I order the part from Amazon instead of a different vendor because you can return it if it doesn't fix the problem. I installed it in minutes and the washer is now fixed.I must give Amazon credit because any other vendor won't let you return electrical components. I figured I had nothing to lose. So glad I did.

The product worked fine, the only problem I have is with GLOB PRO SOLUTIONS sending you the product with a note inside the box saying "return the old product or get charged $100 fine. I thought I was getting a brand new product, but I wonder if the product that I got was refurbished or something. I guess we will never know. It says nothing about it being refurbished or brand new. Just buy it knowing that is inside the box.

I am happy with the part, it seems to be working. My issue is the almost 1 hour of time trying to resolve this note inside package. There was no return label or return address. Spent almost an hour trying to get someone to answer the phone or a chat about this issue. Finally I was informed I won’t be charged. But the hassle was very frustrating.If a core charge isn’t in the ads description you should not put a note inside package.
