You get what you pay for.
You get what your pay for. All the 5 stars reviews on here must be fake, terrible battery after a few charges.I followed all directions out of the box to set the battery up to work at its highest level. Despite that, I'm lucky if it holds a charge longer than 1 hr. It was really a waste of money, the battery I had to replace almost worked better, and it was around 7 years old. I would steer clear of this product.Update: Customer service was helpful, as they sent me a replacement. However, the one I received was equally as bad. It's gotten even worse over time (less than a year) to where my computer dies almost immediately after I unplug it a power source.

Don't expect it to last for more than 2 hours
The battery keeps my laptop charged, but its not nearly as effective at holding a charge as I would have expected. It lasts about 2.5 hours on full charge with just light web browsing. When watching videos or using games/programs it gets barely 2 hours. As I am only using it as an interim until I get a new laptop, it will suffice, but don't expect it to power your computer on a daily basis, especially if you don't have a plug nearby

Should have gotten this a long time ago
I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch (Mid-2009). My trackpad stopped working about 2 years ago and I figured the whole computer was about to go the way of the stegosaurus. After about a year of only "tap to click" functionality I decided to take the machine apart to see if I could make some sort of adjustment.Upon taking the bottom off the laptop, I was greeted with the warning sticker for removing the battery. Said it would void the warranty. Since it seems the warranty from any Apple product I've ever owned has lasted me about the time it takes to get the product home I dove in like Greg Louganis. When I took the battery out, it looked like a hot pocket. Except the contents had not dripped out the side but instead were in the middle, bulging out from both sides. The swollen battery was pressing against my trackpad, preventing the click.Since I am a chronic procrastinator, for the next year I had my laptop taped to its power cord, since it had to be plugged into the wall to be used and to stay on. I recently made the plunge to update my MacBook Pro. Went all out.Got new RAM, a new SSD, and this new battery. AND WOW! My laptop feels like it performs better than it did when it was brand new. I can now carry my laptop around without the power cord taped on! I no longer look like a vagrant at the coffee shop who has to deny other customers access to the wall outlet. It no longer looks like I have an explosive device held together with sloppy electrical tape when I walk into the library. This product has changed my life.It seems ludicrous, and honestly dangerous, that the battery in a piece of high technology like a MBP would swell up to the point of impeding functionality, but I am here to tell you that very tale. Just get this battery. It is a good value and will immediately pay for itself in the renewed portability, functionality, and reliability of your machine! Do it.

Solid Battery - Might as well upgrade the ram too
This battery was identical to the original one it replaced. Installation was very easy. There's plenty of youtube vids that you can find where someone will show how to replace it on your exact model.ID your mac here: [...]The battery quality isn't the greatest, but it is a lot better than dead. I had one instance where it went from 17% to dead in less than a minute. Don't expect to be on a plane doing heavy work for hours at a time. Sorry I'm not a benchmarker, so I have nothing quantifiable, but it's about on par with other 3rd party batteries I've bought as replacements for other devices in the past. It works, but its performance isn't going to knock your socks off.I wish I took the opportunity to upgrade my ram when I replaced the battery. I won't now, because I'm lazy, but to upgrade the ram in a macbook, you have to remove the battery anyway. Make sure you find the maximum spec of ram that your mac will support and don't purchase over this. My macbook will support 8gb 1333mhz (currently has 4gb 1333mhz). Crucial sticks are solid and priced appropriately. Do some research before you upgrade anything in a Mac. Mac support is terrible at helping in this department.

Fit Nicely, but don't waste your money. Gets hot and discharges fast.
This battery fit nicely and everything, but now I have been using it for 5 months and the discharge rate is incredibly fast and disappointing. As I write this review, I have gone from 100% to 86% in 16 minutes. I am out of return window, so I cannot return item. I have upgraded my little 13" MacBook Pro with SSDrive, 8 MB RAM and thought this battery would do a great job, but I chose the cheap version and now I have to buy another one. So take may word for it, don't waste your money as I have. Concerns since ownership, extensive heat during charging and when in use. I believe this battery is a poor product. Hope this helps.

Doesn't last long than 45 minutes with a full charge!!
I bought this battery based on many reviews saying it lasts in some cases mora than the original battery, such a big lie, when I received it in a really nice box I tought this was the real solution to my battery problems, since mine hardly lasted half hour before it dies, so I installed it and follow each instruction (the little 2 page instructive said to wait until 7% the turn it off and charged it for 12 straight hours) exactly as it said, but 6 months later of doing so I can hardly get more than the half hour that I had with my old 4 year old battery, this battery only lasts about 40-45 min without me having to run to get my charger before it totally dies, it makes strange jumps from 50% to 42% and to 33% and so, and when I leave my mac to sleep for a couple of hours with a full charge and come back later the battery decreases to 50% or less, I wouldn't recomend this battery I am really disapointed
