Excellent toothbrush - but the Bluetooth connectivity is just a marketing gimmick
Bought this to replace an old Oral Pro series toothbrush which I shared with my wife (using different heads). The recommendation now is to have your own complete toothbrush so this was an ideal package. It gives a much better clean than the old toothbrush using micro vibrations. It spatters in the mouth less that the old one (which sometimes was a problem for me). The feedback it gives is a nice to have but not essential. The battery lasts a couple of weeks on one charge. The Bluetooth connectivity really is a gimmick. I've had it connected to my phone so I can monitor how I am brushing. But once you have done that a couple of times it become a waste of time to continue. I did look at the model 9 but the only thing extra was a dubious additional Bluetooth feature. Not worth the extra money. Given this package includes 2 toothbrushes its odd it only includes a single travel case. It does also include a travel container for a pair of brush heads. But I've no idea what they intend you to use this for. If you are going away for a short time you would only take the toothbrush. For say 2 weeks you would also need the charger. It unlikely you would need a spare brush head!! I think it's just something the marketing department thought up to make to package look bigger. This is a very good toothbrush - but its the toothbrush that's good, not all the marketing junk that goes with it.

Great product - teeth will be very happy!
Brilliant toothbrushes, with a smart case and holder that works for both individuals and couples when traveling. It was easy to set up on the phone where you can get lots of information on how you are brushing your teeth, how well and how long you ideally need to brush them, and a series of settings and plans you can change if you want to prioritise for example gum care, or if you have sensitive teeth. Battery was better in the beginning and has started to need more frequent recharging, but this is very quick and easy to do. Teeth are getting a much better clean and I am very happy with this product!

Best brush I’ve ever had, battery is a bit of a letdown
I’ve used an oral b toothbrush for the last 22 years but this is the best so far. The head is bigger and more of a sonic clean than a circular brushing action as it’s that fast. I bought one last year for my daughter and she raves about it, I now see why. The only niggle is the battery does not last as long between charges and will have to get into the habit of keeping it on the charger base every night me thinks . It still gets 5 stars from me👍☘️

Love, Love, Love
Me and my partner absolutely love these our teeth have never felt cleaner, I was a bit hesitant at first as a lot of money to spend on an electric toothbrush but since using it, it is absolutely worth every penny of it, it has settings for every different type of brushing including for sensitive teeth and gums, it’s easy to take away with you as comes with a travel container. If your unsure then I would say go for it …. It will be the best investment you will make in your oral health care

Superb cleaning but the app needs a little TLC to be perfect
I'm so impressed with this new toothbrush, excellent. It's hard to explain but the brushing experience itself is so nice on these new models. If you have one of the older style models with the little metal chisel like brush mounts then you will probably also be blow away by this. Firstly, it's so quiet compared to the aforementioned design. Then the feel, it vibrates at a completely different frequency that is much faster than the older style of brushes. to put the power in perspective, my old style oral-b would maybe spray toothpaste on the sink and taps if you were not careful while brushing (my son does this allllll the time and I guess I do sometimes of course). But this io8 model has managed to spray toothpaste up the bathroom window which, as a result, has just given me more housework to do. But more house work is worth it for a cleaner, healthier mouth. Ok so that might have been an odd and slightly gross comparison example but it is true. And it highlights the extra power the brush is delivering. The app is generally good but I do have one gripe with it. And that is with the tracking side of things. It seems a bit finicky with how it tracks where you have brushed in your mouth and sometimes thinks you are brushing a different area of teeth than you are. I also don't like that fact to utilise the guided brushing you have to open the app and hit start brushing with your phone in range of the toothbrush. I don't really want my phone in the bathroom and I especially don't want it in front of my while this thing is spraying toothpaste everywhere like mentos in coke. Ok I exaggerated there but you get the point. If you don't have the app open when brushing, it doesn't record the full brushing data and only records the time you brush for, no option to edit the data for if you flossed, brushed your tongue or used mouth wash. But that is where they announce stops. 6 brushing modes on the brush, now it lights up to tell you if you are pressing too hard, too soft or in the right pressure zone. You can set brushing programmes for whitening over 2-4 weeks with a plan that you review daily on the progress using a picture with a slider for how white your teeth are. This then sets the brushing mode automatically for morning and night and prompts you to floss, mouthwash and brush your tongue. The app can also track you brush head age and remind you when you need to considering buying a new brush head. The app will also sync with apple heath to track your brushing data and it scores you bushing progress each session out of 100. This scoring point is what has caused the annoyance for me as if it doesn't track where you a brushing in your mouth properly then it will give you a lower score at the end. I know they are essentially applying gamification to teeth cleaning with achievements and badges but it is backed up by study data that this improves oral health. Essentially, I would quite like to be able to not have my phone with me, and be able to sync the data after brushing and see how I did and not be told I missed all of my bottom right molars when I know I spent ample time there. But to be clear, this doesn't mean the brush isn't doing a stellar job of cleaning. This is just a small annoyance. Overall I think this is a great brush that was even better as part of the blackfriday sale of two for £249.99. If they could iron out those minor app bugs I'd give this 6/5 stars.

Reviewed after 5 months of using
I get buildup plaque behind my teeth My 9 year old needed help looking after her teeth Seemed v expensive but decided to give them a go for Christmas. I’d had a pro clean in December and usually need another 3 months later. Nope still good, no build up at all and my teeth look and feel unstained, clean and very healthy Liv loves the smiley face after 2 minutes and prefers the sensitive setting. The brush has had a dramatically positive effect on her brushing routine and her teeth which are now really very much whiter I would not hesitate in this investment which is, after all, not much more cost than a scale and polish at the dentist 😁

I am really happy with it!
We purchased this and have been using this brush for about a year now and we are really happy. With the color changing led at the base of the brush, I learned that I was applying too much pressure to clean my teeth before (with my old manual toothbrush). There were brown vertical scratch marks all over my teeth and I was paying extra regularly to get them cleaned with my dentist. I thought they were because of my bad habits, like tea or something. The bad part is, no one told me this, not even my dentist. Now with this product I know why they appeared. Gradually, they began to dissappear. After using this brush I feel just as refreshed as before. Maybe the only downside would be I'm spending a bit more time cleaning and maintaining it. But overall we are really happy and healthy with it and the value for the money is over the roof. Thank you for this great product Oral-B :)))

Avoid these expensive toothbrushes, three failures in two years
I have had about six Oral-B toothbrushes over the years, this pair has by far been the worse (and most expensive). Bought as a pair for our Xmas present to each other. Mine failed twice in less than two years and was repaired/replaced each time. It is still working at the moment. Now my wife’s brush has failed with exactly the same fault. The brush just stops without any warning while using it. When placed on the charger it shows about 40-50% charge still left on it. But remove it from the charger and it won’t switch on. Charging it up to full makes it work again but only down to about the same percentage. This means we only get about half the normal use before charging is required again. I expect this to gradually worsen even more just like the last two times. So although the invoice showed the product to be only just out of warranty we hadn’t quite had two years use out of them because we put them back for Xmas. The manufacturer said “Sorry, out of warranty” and offered a measly £30 towards a new £200 tooth brush. I would expect a £200 toothbrush to last longer than this, (we have now had three failures in two years). My wife said just replace it with a cheaper one, but it won’t be Oral-B we will be getting it from Avoid, avoid, avoid
