Specifications: Frequency range: 125-525 Mhz Center calibrated: 145Mhz(VHF) 435Mhz(UHF) Power range:0-120W +/- 5% Impedance: 50 ohm Connector: M-J(So-239 (M)) Dimension: 70W x 78H x 30D mm Net Weight: 220g Measurement: 1. Apply output of transceiver to "TX" and antenna or load to "ANT". 2. "POWER" on for ready to use. 3. LCD display show simultaneously "Fwd/Ref Power and SWR". 4. For back-light, please switch "LIGHT" to "ON". 5. No function in 30 seconds, the backlight will automatically off. 6. Once PTT launched, the backlight will be back. Battery installation: 1. Remove the black screw from the cover to open the rear panel. 2. Install 2 pcs "AAA" batteries. 3. Can be used with alkaline or Ni-Ca, Ni-MH rechargeable battery. 4. This unit has no built-in charging circuitry. 5. Be sure to correct polarity of battery. 6. Remove the battery if the unit won't be used in long period. Review: Very easy to use since it is digital. - This meter is very easy to use. Just key up and read the Power, Reverse Power and VSWR simultaneously. The meter does not have to be switched to read the power and VSWR like with an analog Power/SWR meter that has only one meter, and there is no parallax error like with a cross-needle Power/SWR meter. The backlight works well. The instructions say that USB, alkaline, NiCad or NiMH cells can be used, but I have found that the battery level gauge reads low with fully charged NiMH cells. Therefore, I am using AA alkaline cells, which give a full reading when they are new. The power can be supplied with a USB cable also, but for me that is just one extra cable, so am using using battery power. This meter looks exactly like an MFJ model, and I have a feeling they are both made by the same manufacturer.

**Q: Does this have a metal housing?  has anyone compared it to the mfj-847?**
A: Yes it has a metal housing and it works perfectly. It looks as if it is manufactured by the same company as the MFJ-847. I am very pleased with this unit.
