Both knives are full tang, excellent quality both knives and the sheath.I am a knife collector and have purchased over 7 years 82 knives thru AMAZON. I have never had anything other than outstanding service with Amazon. DWM

The blades are about a quarter inch (1/4") thick.

Where are these made? China?

Where ever they were made, the workmanship on them is not very good. The small knife is too small for the sheath and will fall out if you don't keep checking it. I bought them to use as utility knives for use around camp. They are fine for that. Judging by the quality of these knives I suspect they were made in China. By themselves, they do look good. I haven't used them enough to see how well they hold up.

Are these a knock off of muela bw knives?

They are actually pretty nice knives. The big one doesn't fit very well in the sheath so i switched it with another blade. The belt loop roped the first day on a belt. That's the bad side. Besides being stainless steel.
