Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I ordered this speaker set not expecting all that much.....I mean, what can you get for $10? But I am pleasantly surprised. I've included a little video demonstration of the difference it makes with my laptop, which will tell you more than I could ever write. For this demonstration, I had pre-plugged in the USB and slid the speakers onto the top of my laptop and my laptop sound was at 100%. So the demo is solely for you to hear the difference in the sound WITH and WITHOUT the additional speakers.At one point, you will hear a little feedback...that's because I was fiddling with the audio jack. That was probably more of an issue with my laptop's audio in than the speakers themselves. I did get some distortion when I turned the speakers up all the way. The demo was with the speakers at about 85-90%.Hope this helps!

When I plugged these in I knew they would be awful. I had to use the volume control to keep it around 50% to reduce the amount of static sound coming out of them. Not only is there static, but there's that high pitched 20 KHz frequency that you can hear throughout the entire room when they are just plugged in. Enjoy those headaches and trying to find out where the sound is coming from.In terms of sound quality, they are absolute garbage. Very tinny, no depth and just sound like dollar store speakers. They are a little louder than low quality laptop speakers but they are honestly comparable.The other insult to this product is that they are physically huge. My laptop looked like it had mickey mouse ears and that's IF you can get the terrible clips to even clip on properly. My laptop had a tiny rubber trim around the bezel which these clips managed to break out and now there's rubber hanging off the screen of my laptop. I had to dismantle the screen to put it back in properly.Terrible clips, terrible sound, terrible static, just overall a trash product.

Would be fine for laptop but not suitable for desktop use.Cables are shorter than specified. Width of clips less than specified.I have a typical computer desk and the cable won’t reach from my monitor to my computer which is on a shelf under the desktop directly below the monitor. They’d be too short even mounting the speakers on the bottom of the monitor.This is assuming the clips were wide enough to even attach to the monitor. I have 3 monitors and they wouldn’t fit any of them.

The USB on these speakers is merely for power, they aren't actually connecting digitally on the USB, therefore the sound is via the headphone jack, not digital. Also the clip-on part is rather limited in spacing (about 2cm) and won't clip on to my monitor at all, probably fine for a laptop.

I got the product and I tested it. At first, I thought there was no sound so I cranked the volume up. However, it appears the issue lies with the 3.5mm jack. I had to jiggle it a bit so that the sound will come out of the speakers. I normally experience this issue when the product is at the end of its lifecycle. However, for this speaker it happened immediately after I took it out of the box. Very disappointing.
