Inferior product
Do not buy. This is the worst replacement bin I have ever purchased. The ice constantly gets stuck in the mechanism. Also I can't get it to switch to cubed ice.

Did saved some money on the do it yourself part.
Purchase this replacement part for GE refi. and installed it myself. Unfortunately another part was also defective and I ended up call an appliance repair man out.

Back to Crushing Ice!
Original ice crusher lasted 18 years. This new ice crusher is an exact replacement and literally was plug and play into my freezer. Oh and a few years ago I had to replace WR17X11459 Cup Drive and GE WR17X11458 Ice Crusher Blade Bearing to keep the old ice crusher operating properly--didn't work out this time as the old crusher was too worn out.

This was an exact match to what broke.
I liked that it was package well and arrived actually earlier than expected. After it was installed, it actually worked better than the factory installed unit.
