You probably aren't buying this if you aren't familiar with polishing metals, this is a good quality heavy pad, it worked well for me with every compound I used.

Works great, doesn't wear out to fast.. Polishes perfectly,, the cloth isn't to abrasive.. I have been polishing all the aluminum components of a V-12 jag engine.. the only problem is the 5/8" hole. Can't find an arbor for this wheel. had to make due with 1/2' arbor.
