**Q: what is the shelf life of this food?**
A: I've a small 8 lb dog. She doesn't eat much. Mine stays for upto 3 months and she still loves the last bit of it. I do add homemade organic wet dog food for her in it though.

**Q: List of ingredients? I need something without peas or lentils or potatoes.**
A: It does have potatoes and peas, as part of the ingredients.

**Q: How big are the individual pieces?**
A: Little x, about 1/4 inch or maybe slightly bigger. My 6 pound dog and my 3 pound dog have eaten this food since they were a year old and are now 6 and 5 years old, respectively.  Their first year they ate the same brand of small breed puppy food, as opposed to adult.

**Q: Where is the meat (turkey, chicken, etc.) sourced from?  The bag indicates made in Canada; however, no indication of where the meat comes from.**
A: The representative I talked to said that all the meat comes from the United States, with the exception of the lamb products. Their lamb comes from New Zealand.

    Petite kibble for petite dogs.

It has great ingredients.  My dog loves it.  She has been eating for years and she will still take a few as a treat.  She is an 8-pound chihuahua.  She has a very small mouth and struggles with bigger pieces of kibble.  She needs to chew it enough to break it into pieces she can swallow without choking.  Dogs, if you haven't noticed, hoover their food.  They are not big on chewing and mostly gulp food down.  I worry about her choking on a large piece of kibble.
