KWS HP-130 5-Inch 1/2 lb. Hamburger Patty Press Molding Maker, Hamburger Press, 304 Stainless Steel bowl

I just bought this patty press (the 5 in version). On my first use, everything was working fine until my 3rd patty. The raw hamburger would stick to the side of the bowl during the press, and the ejector was having problems pushing the patty up when lifting the handle. This caused the metal bar (located internally and pictured in photo), that pushes the patty ejector up, to bend and no longer function correctly. The rest of the press is built fairly well. Gears work good, and if this metal bar was just a bit stronger, I believe it would provide years of service. So, I took the bent metal and straightened it back out. Went to a metal shop and had them weld a support piece on to it. Works great now. --I only dropped 1 star to try and be fair because this was not a big issue with me. The manufacturer really needs to upgrade this piece for the 5 inch bowl. I can't believe this would work in a commercial environment without welding a support onto this metal bar like I did. My picture shows the bar with the support added to it. ---Now, I think I have a really good hamburger press that will last several years without issue.
